Yeah me too, but even if Gogeta was added he would be weaker than Vegito. I remember the potara fusion is stronger than the regular fusion Goten and Trunks make (which would be Gogeta for Goku and Vegeta)

DB Super has been awesome these last episodes. I remember last year I wrote something about how Toei was ruining this golden chance with the most popular anime IP by making DB Super basically garbage so I'm really happy with this rise in quality.

I still feel it's not up there with the best of Z, but it has been really good. I just hope they give Gohan, Goten and young Trunks more showing since they haven't done a thing lately. It sucks considering that Gohan was the strongest character at the end of DBZ and had main focus in most of the series and Goten and Trunks were given a lot of attention in the anime/manga canon and in movies right before the end of DBZ.

It also makes me curious to know which are stronger, DBGT SSJ4 Goku, Vegeta and Gogeta or their DBSuper SS Blue forms (vegito in this case)

Eyyy. That's exactly what I said earlier in this topic.

As for Gohan, I think the message is clear that he is no longer a warrior/has warrior instincts. (He didn't even think to ask Trunks why he had returned.)
I guess they want him to be a character who could enjoy peace and live out his dreams instead. Seems like Trunks basically took his role. But perhaps Toei will flip flop if they get enough hate mail.

what bothers me the most is that they hinted that Gohan would train again and become an important character but they ditched it lol

Same thing now that he gets some regrets for not asking Trunks why he was there. Makes me feel they are teasing us with Gohan coming back. Same thing with the kids, when Trunks goes and gets Goten to travel with him to the future and help fight against Black  and Zamasu but they get discovered by Vegeta.

Gohan's situation is still not looking good. But if you like Trunks, this arc is basically the Trunks Show. And he seems to be in the role that Gohan should be in.

I rather Gohan be a top lkine fighter but they way they've treated his character is really off putting 3 times they teased him training yet its amounted to nothing.

 

They missed a golden chances I thought where they could go back to a drgaonball setup where everyone fights regardless of strength, instead of the "one" hero per arc, granted that almost did that with the tournment arc but yet again that ended up pretty much being just Vegeta and Goku.

Yeah, that was pretty misleading. Although it only happened in the anime, wheres in the movie he showed no regret at being too weak to protect everyone.

Yeah, Gohan was so angry at the revelation of Trunks' situation, that he went straight back to not training! He didn't even wait. Just went straight back to it. xD

I get the feeling that most characters have taken a backseat in Super, to focus more on Vegeta, and new characters like Beerus, Whis and now Future Trunks.
Which is a common trait in Dragonball, as it happened when it went from DB to Z as well. And to an extent between certain Z arcs.
The only exception to this rule (besides Goku) I feel is Bulma, who has retained relevance throughout most of the series.

I was never a big fan of Kid Trunks, as he was very different from Future Trunks by design. And he's apparently complacant and lazy like Goten in the epilogue of Z. However after his talk with his future self recently, you could see a change in him, when he looked out over the city and its people, as if he realizes that he has a responsibility to protect them, and now wants to do so. Seems like he may grow up to become closer to Future Trunks than previously presumed. And I hope that's the case. We all know Mai certainly hopes so.

It's fun because he could end up like the Trunks in GT which was way different from the kid Trunks personality haha. Another thing that bothers me is that Goten/Trunks design seems younger than in Z even though they should be like 2 or more years older. Also they don't seem to be growing at all (well, Goku looked the same from 12 to 15 and he suddenly showed up being way taller so it wouldn't shock me if that happens to them too)

 

I wonder if they will respect the Z epilogue, it shouldn't be too far away(Pan was like 4, so it's just a couple of years).

Super makes no sense, how the fuck does a super Saiyan 2* trunks get anywhere near the strength of God Goku?

They don't follow traditional power levels, it's a disaster of an anime.....

They always get beat up before ultimately winning tho. Its the name of the game in DB

Not with the Goku and Vegeta fusions though. Vegito manhandled Super Buu. Gogeta destroyed Janemba with one hit. SSJ4 Gogeta manhandled Omega Shenron. This is why I'm thinking Vegito might not finish off Zamasu. But we'll see...
