If we set aside Mario's two interstellar outings, what do you think was the best game on Nintendo's 7th gen console?

Metroid Prime Trilogy (although that's technically 3 games).

I'd say Xenoblade is the best, including the Galaxy games.

Definitely Skyward Sword for me, I love that game.

I have the sudden urge to point out that Galaxy games are nowhere near to be the best games on the Wii. Sue me if you disagree.

That being said, my favourite Wii game is probably Smash Bros Brawl. Either that or, hmmmmm, Twilight Princess, Radiant Dawn or The Last Story. Can't pick one.

My favourite would probably be Metroid Prime 3, that game it's so awesome.

Xenoblade Chronicles, Metroid Prime 3, and Skyward Sword are my top picks. Actually haven't seriously sat down and played Super Mario Galaxy, though the first level of Galaxy seemed a bit...humdrum?

Edit:  Some may notice I didn't mention Twilight Princess which is weird since Twilight Princess HD is my favorite Zelda hands down.  Well, the reason is 1) the motion controls were lack luster and 2) the visuals were soooo muddy on Wii, I never really played more than like an hour partly due to that and partly due to my impatience when I was younger.  Like, Metroid Prime 3 and Mario Galaxy 1 and 2 and Skyward Sword all absolutely dominate it visually.  Honestly, the HD edition of Twilight Princess for me is vastly superior in every conceivable way.

Well, Xenoblade Chronicles is the best game on the Wii, even if you include the Galaxy games.

Then it's a toss-up between The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess and Metroid Prime 3: Corruption. Okami is also a very good game, I hope it gets a sequel at some point as I don't care about Kamiya's other games. For such a casual console, most of the games I liked for it could be considered "hardcore" or "niche". The only other games I'd put in the same league as the ones I just mentioned are the Super Mario Galaxy games (if you were wondering where I ranked them). I never played Resident Evil 4 or Donkey Kong Country Returns, but I think I'd like those as well (Tropical Freeze is one of my favorite Wii U games).

Mario Kart Wii was a bit of a letdown after Double Dash (the online was good though), but I stil enjoyed it. And I disliked the entire Wii-series of games, I'm glad they've abandonned that.
