Ok well i just have a little anecdote which i think gives us a clear view of how well GT5 prologue should sell this week.

I live in Geneva, In Switzerland, and thankfully there are a lot of dedicated videogame stores as well as normal big surface stores which stock videogames as well. I decided to go around and look for my copy of GTP and here is how it went.

 - Virtual Dreams (huge videogame only stores in France & Switzerland) - Completely sold out, they stocked about 300 copies

- Dock Games (other videogame store) - They had much smaller stocks, about 70-100 as the seller told me, and they were sold out completely.

 - FNAC (europeans will now this, its sort of the equivalent of Wallmart) - They stocked massive amounts being a huge chain of stores, im going to go around the 600-1000 mark just as a guess. They had about 20 left (this is where i bought mine)

Now something interesting to go with that, as you know Geneva is attached to the French border, meaning going to France takes about what...10 minutes depending on where you are.

Having the majority of my friends there i wanted to check out how the situation was, so i went to this store called HD Concept, which is owned by a friend of mine who also has stores in Marseille and one in Paris. He was completely sold out on GT5P (he didnt have that many, around 50, but still) and when he called his co-workers in the other stores, the same situation presented itself.

 Thus, i think that GT5P should have very good sales, yes its a bland and boring statement, but i thought anecdotes would be fun to read about GT5P in the areas where you live!

That is very impressive sales, I doubt any other PS3 games have had wide spread shortages like this

Well in those places that i mentioned there have been none which ever had a shortage for any ps3 game.

Devil May Cry was always in stock, as well as Uncharterd or what not, so thats why at least here its a first

I've got my copy of GT5 Prologue.

Just haven't got around to playing it yet.

I'm really looking forward to seeing GT5P sales, it's going to be very interesting.

My prediction? Massive software sales, Small hardware boost.
