Forums - General Discussion - Taylor Swift is the new Madonna, but not in a good way...

So back in the 80s, this new hit girl came out named Madonna.  She made popular music and her music was popular, that's all I'll say about her music.  That and she was the biggest thing around like how Britney Spears was the biggest thing around in the 90s.  She was also known for have a string of boy toys who were famous.

Flash forward and the new hit girl is Taylor Swift.  She makes popular music and her music is popular, that's all I'll say about her music.  She is the biggest thing around right now(Adele is the better of the two, but not in this discussion).  She also has a long strong of boy toys.  We all know that by now because we all live in 2016, right Future Mann?

(Quickly, I have to make it sound like I'm not shaming anyone.)Nothing wrong with that.  Boy, if I had the pull to get like 23 girls under my belt, well it would be more an accomplishment than a shame on me.  But, that's not necessary a good thing either.  Most of us don't want to be called a slut in general, male or female.  But with 23 confirmed kills, I mean relationships, Madonna has had is that not a definition of a slut?(And you know they did more than just go out on dates) Just saying though, that is a weird mantle to bear.

Discuss, dissect, deliberate, define, debate, defame.  What can you say about this that's worth replying.

I liked Madonna. I have heard the worst about her in terms of her personality. Musically? I am not privy into how much she actually created, but she's the best of the 3 imo. Good for a long while. I totally jacked it to her. Brit. Some catchy stuff. In the most banal pop way. Not my thing, really, but I don't hate it. Flamed out quickly by comparison. Absolutely spanked it to her. Taylor Swift. Bleh. Umm. Nope. Nothing. No hate. Just bleh.

Does this mean in 2046 Taylor Swift will be offering people blowjobs to vote for Chelsea Clinton?

Taylor's Relationships gets sh*t on because of her song writing style and the fact that they are very personal and detailed. I think that it is unfair because there are many famous woman that have a ton of failed High-Profile relationships and they never catch the amount of flack that she does.
(Although I understand the criticism of her recent relationship with Tom)

Isn't this basically slut-shaming? You know, it's none of your business who other people hang out with, sexually or otherwise, unless they're having sex with your wife of something.

Spanked it to brit, to swift.  Oddly enough madonna wasn't part of that club, that or maybe I forgot.  Either too young, or not my cup of tea.  Musically, brit churned out some songs I'll never forget.  But I do agree that it is less impactful than Madonna.  Madonna always had the stuff aboud being a bad girl while brit is more "i'm just a girl in love", than Madonna's "Girl empowerment by having my baby".  Taylor, well I think it's more pop than the both of them.  In fact, it sorta takes me out that most of her songs are split songs.  "oh it was this dude's fault not mine" songs are just too common with her.

Actually that the business of his wife then. #stopwiveshaming

Bro, you're ruining the mood here.  I'm not saying it was bad, it's just a topic to chew the fat about.  Believe me when I say I have no political stance about getting it on or getting it on more and more and more.  General discussion, please let's not get on any soap box your or I.

Let me turn this ship to a different direction.  What do you think of the two and the similarities they both have.

To be fair though, she deserves all that coming to her for capitalizing on her failed relationships.  I mean she's a musician, write other stuff about other things.  I know she probably writes about this stuff to make herself feel better and she turns that into songs, but stop putting it out there.  You don't hear Katy Perry dissing all the dudes she's been with.
