Just started chapter 7. All caught up on coliseum fights (well with in my level so nothing 20+). Plus I've done both "soul touches" and unlocked my first champion (well along with sephiroth).

I've caught all the mirages so far for the most part. I'm missing two goblins (protect, and confusion), and the cactuar.
I don't have the magic urn yet. I just got an elixir from sizzling an iceblock so I'm going back now.

Of three choices to fight - who did you choose? I don't know if this is a spoiler or not so I will do that just incase.

I chose Shiva. I just liked the look better than the other two.

I chose the most most badass of course Ifrit...like it was still unclear lol

I've been playing this game more hardcore than any other in years. There's so much I would like to say but I really don't want to spoil anything, let's just say don't get fooled by the beginning. WoFF is legit great game, everything is so well thought out. I never thought there would be so much content in this game, it has blown me off completely. Like today I played like 5 hours and it was all optional content and it's not like I had been saving it, no I've pretty much done everything that was possible to do right away but new content just pops up time after time.

And let's talk about the mirages. The battle system and experience is designed in such a way where it's easy to test out different teams. It's not like in some games where you have your "main" characters and then you have those characters who you haven't used and thus are low level trash. WoFF makes it so you can swap in level 1 mirages in your team and they level up really fast. Transfiguration system is great and makes everything so much easier. Once you get the hang of transfigurations the options in stack building just blow up and most important it's actually very easy to make good effective stacks.

Here's a little tip about Sync% bonus. Let's say you have mirage Fire Horse LVL35 with Sync% 39% (not real) and it has 2 other forms in that tree and also the possibility to change into Ice Horse tree. So Fire Horse S, M, L  and Ice Horse. When you transfigurate any mirage to different tree, you get the same total amount of SP you have accumulated before. This is useful since your Sync% goes up as you unlock the mirage board.

Fire Horse LVL35 Sync% 39% 0/34 SP---->Transfigurate into Ice Horse LVL35 Sync% 39% 34/34 SP

Use all the SP and Sync% goes up to 53%, you get Sync% bonus and your mirages stats improve

Transfigurate back to Fire Horse LVL35 Sync% 53% 0/34 SP

I'm not 100% sure but the Sync% bonuses could be 25%, 50%, 75% and 100%.

edit: This is a fast way to get mirajewels too.

I cannot imagine toilet-free life.

Kebabs have a unique attribute compared to other consumables. To unlock this effect you need to wolf down a big ass kebab really fast, like under 10 minutes or so and wait for the effect to kick in. If done correctly your movements should feel unbelievably heavy to the point where you literally cannot move at all.

Played the demo. The character design is KH like and I hate it. I also hate Chibi anything in any game. Still I have it a shot as a RPG fan and finished the demo. I just can't forgive random battles in a modern game. Battles were not that fun either. I felt bored and it's rare I ever feel that way about a battle system. I have played hundreds of RPGs and own well over 100 but this was the most boring. I will try it again later but safe to say won't be buying it anytime soon. Shame as even with the chibi stuff it kinda looked like a old FF game with modern visuals and got me excited for a bit. Doesn't feel like a old FF tho to me. Maybe the demo sucks. If that is the case will wait til it drops below 20 bucks and snag it.

Goddamn the mirage counter is annoying. I think total was first 150 then it went up 180 and now 200...I have 153 and thought there's not much left...Thank god I got that stupid sandstalker minigame done in 20 turns so the most annoying part should be done. Clocking around 60 hours, have not completed the game yet but most of the sidequests should be done.

Im a couple of hours in and im pretty much using the same mirages since the start which I know cant be right. I hope something happens to Tama every time she randomly adds "the" into a sentence I die a little inside.

Well. I tossed it on my pile of shame ( vita version ). No spoilers, so goodbye forever.

I second this. I just started the game and it's pretty good so far, but the whole "the" shtick is really getting on my nerves. It's somehow even more annoying than Kid Icarus/Pit in Captain N.

Oh...my...god...finally got the Legendary Caretaker trophy where you need to master 100 mirage boards.

lol

It's not that bad timewise if you have a solid plan, like 5-6 hour grind but the repetitive nature gets you. If only it was just the battles but there's a lot of general management you need to do constantly and the fact that you have to unlock the mirage board and it's just mashing X till it's done.

Now I have only two things left for platinum. One is to complete the mirage manual, I have all the necessary mirages so transfiguring should do it. Another one is the treasure chests, the one I feared the most...while it should not be that bad compared to mastering 100 mirage boards and getting maduin memento, there's always that terrifying chance of not finding the last chests.

edit: I got the plat...the uncertainty of finding those treasure chests was scary, I'm tired so tired. Good game, story has surprises, lots of content, comedy...WoFF deserves a sequel.

Just to let everyone know, WoFF with 1.01 patch is horrible on Pro, however the 1.0 version is good. So until SE fixes the problem and if you can live without multiplayer then delete the game and install it again but don't let it update to 1.01 version, you need to manually prevent the patch from downloading and installing.

Luckily, this game has dual audio!

"We'll toss the dice however they fall,
And snuggle the girls be they short or tall,
Then follow young Mat whenever he calls,
To dance with Jak o' the Shadows."
