this is false

I think he's confusing rumors that say that Nintendo is mandating that Switch games must run at at least 540p, or they won't be approved.

^ this.

540p is a worst case situation.

My phone is 6" and it's a lot better to carry compared to 3ds xl and vita. I can see myself carrying that on my pocket with the joy cons detached.

Knew it! A tablet not having a touch screen in 2017 would be stupid

But this is not a tablet.. its the new Nintendo hybrid.. that also (strip down) can work as a tablet..  so its nice we have conformation (kind of)

Its like calling a smartphone a digital cam..

If this is confirmed I think we need a moment of silence for Sony's handheld division. They barely stood a chance before, now that the NS is practically doing everything right...

NS is likely more like the Vita in thickness, perhaps a bit thicker actually. It has an internal fan from the sounds of it, it won't be anywhere near as thin as your phone. But for people who for whatever reason need to shove their portable game system in their jeans, detaching the sides is one way. Have no idea where you are going to put your wallet or phone or keys, but it's not like anyone ever needs those on a daily basis ;).

Well, extra features are always great.

And say what you will, but 720 p for the portable mode is great. And when in home console mode it will be in 1080 or 900p, so Im good.

That ain't happening.

Not unless there is a SCD dock that costs more money with a far more powerful chip.

I'd expect a bit of a performance jump in docked mode, but 1080p is 2.25x more pixels than 720p, not a chance in hell the NS is magically overclocking itself 2.25x in performance just because it's running off a dock instead of a battery.

720p is what you're going to get on most games, and you're going to learn to like it if you want to like the NS.

Figured it was touch screen.

I wonder if they could've put in a higher resolution screen seeing as smartphones have better screens than that.

The Switch isn't 6.2 inches, the screen size is. The Switch is 9.4 inches wide with the Joy-Cons on, and 6.8 inches wide with the Joy-Cons off. The Switch is also 4 inches tall.

So you're very unlikely to fit this thing in your pockets.

No internal fan, just someplace the air flows when docked. Trust me my dad is Kimishima.

If you spin it that hard, sure...
