Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Eurogamer: Nintendo Switch has a 6.2" 720p multi-touch screen

this is false

I think he's confusing rumors that say that Nintendo is mandating that Switch games must run at at least 540p, or they won't be approved.

How else would Super Mario Maker work on the Switch? I think a multi-touch display is a guarantee at this point. But how would you play SMM when docked? It may only work in portable mode.

Really dont like the idea of some games only working in handheld mode.

Maybe Super Mario Maker can run in docked mode and the level editor is an app that works on you phone or tablet. That would be one solution.

Hey! They got SONY on my amiibo! Wait a minute. Two great gaming tastes that game great together!

Switch FC: SW-0398-8858-1969

This thing is just sounding better and better.

I'm 100% that's the plan. It's the initial reason they partnered with DeNA. The phone games came later.

I dont know. If they are doing this, then I can see Nintendo saying "Yeah, the next Pokemon will only be playable on the handheld version of the console. We want people to play together after all"

The rumors were true. All of them.

I wonder if games will be rendered at 1080p for HDMI out?

Well, what sense would it make not to have a touchscreen when this is the kind of interaction method ingrained in people's muscle memory now? :D

The Joy-con's work like the Wii's Nunchucks.

Theres a IR sensor in the dock.
