An insider was talking about the Wii U being connected to the Switch to play Wii U games and DVDs...
He might be talking about this kind of ecosystem. Too complicated for the consumer IMO.

Just to clarify the OP's point, Kimishima himself never says "ecosystem". That was put in by the Bloomberg writer and is not part of Kimishima's quote.

This is all he directly is quoted as saying:

"It may be appropriate to call them accessories. Or it might be better to call them add-on hardware. It’s probably more correct to call them accessories. You can assume that there will be a wider array."

This to me doesn't imply add-ons as in like a 32X power boosting dock. Not saying that can't happen, but from that quote I think he's more clearly referring to Switch Joycon add-ons, and there will be tons of them.
