Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Prediction: Nintendo to change their YouTube policies by the time the Switch is released

No, I don't think Nintendo would loosen their reign over youtubers. Personally speaking, I like their policy. The less youtubers being a Nintendo youtuber partner, the better. Nintendo wants control, they don't want anyone else making their arguments for them, especially on youtube. I get the impression that Nintendo doesn't like guys like PewDiePie pimping their games. If Nintendo were to choose a representative, it would be someone like black Nerd or Matpat. Someone who are more of Nintendo's like mind. That was the reason for them enacting these rules in the first place. Youtube for them is a business and anyone who wants to get into bed with them on youtube means that have to put on a condom that's like 3 layers thick. They never really benefited from youtube personalities sell their stuff, and as big a price as they may pay with limiting exposure on youtube, I don't really think it's a big deal to them.

You can do whatever you want.  That's why Nintendo is doing what they want.  Just because someone can argue Nintendo's case, it doesn't mean Nintendo has to give them the platform to do so.

Yeah i though about this too, I think they will. I hope at least.

Youtube isn't Nintendo to give or take.

Of course.  I agree with you.  Let me just add that they have options and looks like they've chosen their route to take with youtubers.  Or else we wouldn't be talking about it.  No one on youtube is being forced illegally.  There's just actions you can take and actions you're not permitted to.  Nintendo exercises their rights.

Haven't said they aren't within their rights, it's just that it doesn't seem to do them any good.
