Forums - Sony Discussion - CNET: How the PS4 Pro made me a believer

I don't believe it. This is Mark Cerny just trying to sell the Pro

The world is about to find out how underrated the ps4pro is.

Of course, those of us who actually do research and check out tech videos already know.

Could you link me to those tech vids, please.

edit: Mike, where are you?

OK, I misread. I thought you said 'over-rated' Appologies.

The PS5 Exists.

I've been sold since the idea was floating as a rumor, certainly since the unveil. Day 1. Week one. I'll be getting it soon. Have to get my pre-order money down asap.

"And even on a standard HDTV, one with a 1920x1080p resolution, the checkerboard technique (combined with supersampling, where a game is rendered at a higher resolution and then shrunk down to a lower one) greatly improved the quality. Lara Croft's hair, and the tree branches around her, didn't shimmer nearly as much. Old PS4 games looked like they'd been remastered once checkerboard rendering and supersampling were turned on."

This is the attraction for me as a 1080p owner with the set in mind that I just purchased a year ago so I'm not in the market for a new televsion.  I'm putting some faith in this since I have yet to visually experience the differience.  But what if I "break down" by buying an HDR 4k television in, let's say, two years from now?  I think it's worth the $100 diference between the Slim and Pro to justify taking that chance.

I honestly do not understand why woud anyone buy a slim right now over the pro where there is so much more values in the pro and way more future proof.

I live 2 blocks from an EB, so I might get it there since they are taking pre-orders. The only thing I have to do is decide between them, and Best Buy. I'll probably go with Best Buy if they are taking pre-orders. I like their rewards program, unlike EB Edge, which is useless. :) I'm also a weirdo who doesn't like stuff delivered. I like to go get it myself. It's all good for day 1 though.

Don't worry I have the same issue. If I pay for something I want it asap. Day one anything is always quicker via midnight launch or pick up since you don't need to worry about delivery delays, missing delivery or having to wait by the door.

i believe in the pro
