If it hits only $85million in the US, that will be considered a Bomb by Marvel standards and a money loser in actuality.

$85Million Opening probably

I can agree with you that is more likely than it being a total.  but, i have been wathing the ads and it just doesnt seem to have the usual marvel superhero look/feel.  i am guessing a $55-60mil open and $150mil total at best

It is near the end of the end....

Has a budget of 165 million. Let's say marvel is smart and gives it a 100 million marketing. 450-500 million would be the break even.

85 million first week domestic, weekend, turns into 130 million by the next weekend. Then weekend two gets a 45 percent drop pushing it to about 175 million or so, and on and on. Even if I am too high you see where it is going just after a few weeks. Good WOM and you have it. That is not including international.

I think it will do similar numbers to Ant-Man. An offbeat, relatively unkown character to general public, but has that Disney/Marvel marketing might and some big names in the cast.

Total Lifetime Grosses
Domestic:  $180,202,163    34.7%
Foreign:  $339,243,000    65.3%
Worldwide:  $519,445,163

Of course I'm gonna see my man Benadryl Cabbagepatch. Madsdogg, too.

I liked the visuals and magic in it. This and Fantastic Beasts are two November movies I want to see.

I'm really looking forward to it--wish I could see it in theaters. This should be crazy in IMAX 3D!

Has yet to pique my interest, but I'll probably end up going to see it anyways because it's a Marvel movie.

Saw it at the weekend, was very enjoyable. Fanboy stuff made me question where some of it was going but it was a good film. Looked amazing. Also, the depiction of you know who was a bit...well Galactus from FF2 vibe.

Hmm, pie.
