I will buy it at release it has the ablities of a portable and that is fine with me, and I know that Nintendo can hold onto 3rd party support on its portables, even though that doesn't usually interest me, though I do support the third, I buy Nintendo systems for Nintendo games and usually get the rest on PC when I can, which seems to be more often then naught.

Plus Nintendo is not known to slash prices for year when they can slash prices. So waiting for it to go is counter prodcutive for me.

I just picked up these two lovelies. Spla2oon will sell the Switch when people realize they can have LAN style matches ANYWHERE.

Hey! They got SONY on my amiibo! Wait a minute. Two great gaming tastes that game great together!

I might buy the NS but not at launch. Price and games are two things very important to me when buying a console.

Maybe Christmas 2018 when there is a better console price and decent game selection at reasonable prices but depends on how good the games are and if I can resist buying them. I suspect there may be an unrealistic launch price that might get adjusted like the 3DS and so might wait for that.

Nah, my mind was not blown.

Yes, the console looks amazing, but I will probably wait until holidays to buy it.

Not at launch but that's because I don't think Nintendo is going to price it aggressively to sell. I can see myself buying it later when the price tag is at the low-end of $200.

If I get enough money by then, I'll probably get it at launch.

Zelda, New Splatoon and Mario Kart, and possibly new 3D Mario. Even if that's all it has at launch, that's a monster. Third parties will likely have some ports at release too.

Guaranteed you'll eventually get Pokemon, Yokai Watch, Animal Crossing, Ace Attorney, Monster Hunter, Kirby, Smash, Fire Emblem, Etrian Odyssey, SMT, Warriors, Mario Maker, Metroid, Donkey Kong, Sonic, Bravely Default, Theatrhythm, Hatsune Miku, Minecraft, Dragon Quest, Pikmin, Luigi's Mansion, Mario and Luigi, Mario Party, Mario Sports titles, Professor Layton, and Bamco's Dragon Ball games

Even if Splatoon and Mario Kart are just "upgraded ports" the new content in the videos make them pretty new. How do you make a new Mario Kart? You add new racers, new tracks, and possibly a new mechanic. We saw King Boo as a racer, and the fact you have 2 weapon slots now. Looks new enough to me. Splatoon has new character models, new clothes (which have stats), and new weapons. That's new enough to me.

These are upgraded versions of some of the Wii U's best selling games. They -should- do even better this time just because of how much larger their audience is. Even if they only appeal to the audience that used Nintendo Products last gen, the combined platforms gives them a potential consumer base of 55-70 million, compared to the 13million that had a Wii U. The Nintendo Switch could be the first console in history where its major ports of last gen games sell better than the original releases across the board by virtue of how poorly the Wii U sold.

Gaming content for gamers, by gamers. It's just common sense.

I'm definitely going to buy one, but if the price is under $250 I'll pre-order it, otherwise I dunno when I'll buy it.
