I was quite young when I played final fnatasy 7, it took me months to finish, see I was stuck at a point. There was a big snake in a marsh and I didn't understand you needed to train a chocobo to outrace it.

So I practised for weeks, grinding small monsters, buying the best possible gear untill I managed to kill the snake.

I was extremely dissapointed the rest of the game was super easy xD

That`s pretty awesome!

I was actually able to outrun the snake when I did it originally, can`t imagine how long it must have taken to grind to be strong enough to kill it though. Must have been pretty funny being totally OP for the rest of the game though

Haha, yeah the rest of the game was super-easy ^_^ I remember how increadibly happy I was when the damn snake died, and I never got bored with the game since I was just enjoying myself, my sisters also helped training every now and then, it was litterly weeks lol so yeah it took a lot of monsters!

The internet wasn't that big back in that time, games where a completely different experience then in these times when you get stuck and you search how to finish the game in 5min, I had a ton of experiences like this on NES/SNES/N64 and PSX

Battle to Wait, only because that's how I had grown up playing turn-based RPG's. I was too used to it.

Check out my art blog: http://jon-erich-art.blogspot.com

Full speed and active is the way to go.
Made it especially intense for my solo-character, initial equipment, no materia challenge run.

Prefered it on Wait.

But even "active" was still basically turn based, so we all played the game the same way.

Its just a matter of it you prefer to be rushed by a timer or not.

When my charaters reached 255 Speed I set it on slowest and wait because otherwise I've just been wasting my time.

I dislike active battle. in FFX-2 it's such a mess, I can't tell what is happening on screen, who is doing what.

Deus Ex (2000) - a game that pushes the boundaries of what the video game medium is capable of to a degree unmatched to this very day.

FFX-2 took forever to get used too...

Honestly i can't remember... I think I would have put it on wait but I am not sure.

Enjoy the easy paced combat. Time to roll whatever you wanted to smoke.

Yeah, like a whole hour, with it being my first ever ATB game.

I sort of did this myself but in later playthroughs. :D Actually I outrun the swamp snake and level up in the forests near Fort Condor.

I've found that level 30 is the sweet spot to kill the snake.

You must have spent crazy time leveling up killing those weak enemies before the snake. :/

That's how I roll. :D

Nintendo is selling their IPs to Microsoft and this is true because:
