Forums - Gaming Discussion - Bioware Says Mass Effect Andromeda Won’t Be Coming To Nintendo Switch

And this makes total sense, not only because this game is probably not gonna be a big success on NS (or anywhere, we'll see), but because this game has been long time in development while NS is very recent, if they wanted to do a port it should be released way later than the rest which would be like send it to death

I know there's a lot of damage control going on here but, guys, Mass Effect is a huge franchise. Let's not act like it's a small IP.

Quite ironic coming from you.

Thankfully you have no control to it, but is not like the intentions are not there, and crystal clear for everyone that has been on this site for more than a month.

You still haven't answered my question.

Nah.

A picture of a company logo on a blank page means a lot more about 3rd party support than a developer saying that a really small license like Mass Effect won't come to the Switch...

Is simply sad the way some of you try to fit everything that happens into your agendas. One game that no one expected on NS is not coming on NS and as a result, NS has no 3rd parties confirmed... that logic deserves a nobel.

Pretty sure Mass Effect Andromeda's development was begun with the latest hardware in mind. A Switch port would be unrealistic.

This. This is why switch didn't make holiday launch. It wouldn't have games due to being too late to finalize hardware and not having dev kits out early enough for these companies to plan for it.

This game launches in March, was planned and funded way before EA had anything that could allow them to get Frostbite on the system. This is why we have to wait for January to see any game announcements as companies need time to put their engine support on the dev kit and demonstrate it works.

Quit calling doom and gloom for 3rd party support into Jan/Feb.

3DS does fine because its a handheld and little kids don't care about third party support.

Dude. Nintendo is for "little kids"? I thought we had moved past that.

Where did I say Nintendo is for little kids.

Mind that publishers already have dev kits for quite some time. They probably knew almost everything about the NS for a good 2 years. That's why we were getting leaks so close to the real deal, because a bunch of devs were already playing with the NS and, of course, can't keep their mouth shut.
