I doubt they will close their Wii U servers as fast as they closed the Wii servers.  Main reason why Wii servers closed so quickly was because Gamespy went defunk.  I suppose they didn't want to try and salvage the online infrastructure for Wii.  I'm sure them wanting to push people onto Wii U was part of the reason for not trying to find another host for Wii and DS servers but Gamespy closing didn't help prolong the servers.  I expect Wii U servers to stay open till at least 2018.

Also, you never had to pay extra to play online.  So there is that...  Who knows if they will try to charge for the Switch (I hope not but I don't play that much online these days anyways and if they do then the only online I'll play would be through Steam).

Typical... Here Nintendo is nice enought to port a few Wii-u games to the NS so that people that buy the NS and didnt buy the Wii-U can play some great games and still get NS only games, and all I see is bitter comments from people who won't even buy NS.

To be honest, for someone like me who wanted a wii U, and my sister bought it but wont let me play it, the NS having mario kart 8, spaltoon and smash 4 would be wonderful to me. I'll actually have money this time around so I'll get it, and while I kinda dislike porting from the previous gen, even enhanced ports in this case i'm personally fine with it. My situation is exactly why I'm fine with it

Sony released a lot of 1st party remasters between new games. But the real system sellers were the big marketable third party games. Watch Dogs, Destiny, CoD, MGS... Not all a success quality-speaking, but huge new console sellers. Last year's CoD PS4 bundle is still the best selling SKU in the US! If the Switch doesn't get this kind of titles, it will be a lot more difficult for Nintendo to sell it, Nintendo games or not. Even more if the Nintendo games are Wii U ports. 

If Zelda is considered an enhanced port for Switch than dont we have to count all those cross-gen titles you listed as the same?

In that case, your list becomes Killzone, Infamous, Driveclub & Assassin's Creed.

Besides we have no idea what big hitters Nintendo has planned for next year outside of the rumored remasters so this discussion is kinda pointless.

No because we're talking about remasters here - pwerlvlamy said there was nothing but that in the first year of the PS4's release. Obviously that's not true.

I'm not a fan of remasters, but when a console had so many great games limited for a tiny 13 million userbase, it would be a total waste not ot make them, specially with the amount of people that was interested on some of those games but not enough to buy a 300$ console that all the media treated like a dead system since year one.
