Nintendo copying China!?... Everything is a lie now.

This has a touchscreen. It is nothing like the Switch

“It appeared that there had even been demonstrations to thank Big Brother for raising the chocolate ration to twenty grams a week. And only yesterday, he reflected, it had been announced that the ration was to be reduced to twenty grams a week. Was it possible that they could swallow that, after only twenty-four hours? Yes, they swallowed it.”

- George Orwell, ‘1984’

The NS is nothing special

I wonder if this was a turn-key technology

Around the Network

Surprising? Not at all. There was a device called Xavixport long before the Wii.

Yeayeayea, Nintendo is so super innovative. Others are just idling around, waiting to copy the great and wholesome innovations made by that brainchild-poop-machine.

Hunting Season is done...

A) that thing doesn't double as anything home console / handheld wise, it simply has removable controller parts

The Switch doesn't do it either in that case. This tablet can be connected to a TV exactly like the Switch, it's just done with a normal cable and not with a dock. If the Switch's dock doesn't include additionnal hardware (CPU or GPU) like it's hinted, then it's the same thing.

But yeah, this tablet has a touchscreen and, according to a video, a 3D screen too. The Switch doesn't have 3D and we're not sure about a touchscreen, so it's not exactly the same thing.

This is the contraption onionberry made a thread about a month or so ago, isn't it? With a youtube vid and everything? Congrats to China. They are the undeniable, official home of half-baked, wildly inferior rip-offs. I think this is the first time they have had one that beat the real thing to market though.

We have seen patents from Nintendo that showed the switchable controllers on a screen years ago.
