Forums - Gaming Discussion - Can Nintendo Switch handle Unity and Unreal Engine 4?

I ask because I heard it could. And if it can doesn't that mean it has to be close to as powerful as ps4?

Yes, it can support UE4 and Unity. But running the engines and having power are two different things.

You know it deserves the GOTY.

Yes.I mean, if it supports it, it will run them

My (locked) thread about how difficulty should be a decision for the developers, not the gamers.

Many mobile devices can handle UE4 and Unity. Does that mean that they are all close to as powerful as ps4?

Yes it can. But obviously not as well as current gen consoles.

Still impressive stuff though

Its at least twice as powerful as the WiiU, so that has to count for something.

Yes - they are listed as partners and both confirmed to be supporting NS.

No - WiiU supported Unity. XboxOne has both and is not as powerful as PS4. Hell, there are many other lower powered devices that run on Unity and UE4.

Yeah, the graphics just won't look as good. 7th gen consoles have Unity games.

Its very likely 7th gen consoles could handle UE4 but they never bothered to bring it over.
