Meh, wouldn't have bought it anyways.

Well the X1 has an app that lets people make various changes to the configuration of the elite controller. Such as button mapping.

Even if a 3rd party had an option, its unlikely PS4 would have an app that allowed for similar configuration.

PS4 allows you to do custom button layout already.

EDIT: Didn't see someone had posted. Here a link for you. http://www.howtogeek.com/245977/how-to-remap-buttons-on-your-playstation-4s-controller/ :)

Never used it myself, I was thinking of swapping the shoulder buttons round as games seem to prefer the spongy buttons for FPS, while I prefer the sturdy L! and R1 instead.

Hmm, pie.

PS4 can natively change button configuration.

Ah, I have a PS4 and didn't know that.

Not sure if that alone would work with a 3rd party option of an elite control, but it would help.

I like when they say they don't want a "have and have not" type situation, while discussing a premium version of their existing console, which in itself creates a "have and have not" type situation.

I like the controller as it is and don't see the point in paying more money for something that does essentially the same job.
