Like WiiU and 3DS .. of course the OS will be navigateable by the standard controller. But why would they completely dismiss touch controls? Especially on the go  touch controls would be really helpfull.

well there's a brand new rumor about a multi touch screen

http://nintendoeverything.com/rumor-switch-to-have-a-maximum-battery-life-of-3-hours-multi-touch-screen/

Marketing battery life of 3 hours (so less than that in reality), no wonder they're saying it's a home console....

hopefully the charger is portable enough

It kind of has to have a touch screen. Going back to static screens is backwards. Everything that comes out now has a touch screen...

The NS will have entire games playable through touch controls, bookmark me.

I have a feeling they will give you the dock and tell you to buy the charger yourself

could have a touch screen mode for the interface and some small games. But when the machine is connected to the dock, how are we going to use the touch screen?

^ this.

Makes more sense to just save a few bucks and ship it without.

Not only that, she is saying that nintendo lie to us and the dockstation gives more proccesing power, she was correct on everything about NS later, this must be thruth don't you think?

34 years playing games.

I would hope it does otherwise they gooooofed it. A tablet without a touchscreen in 2016 is practically unheard of

They didnt necessarily lie. They just said it is not the MAIN console, which does not exclude additional supplemental computing elements.

I think also that this scenatio is plausible considering the width of the docking station.
