Both screens tpgether on the big 6.2" screen? Where's the problem?

Cos you need to stack the two screens vertically, you'll need more than 6.2' screen.

On the topic, does this also mean that NS wont be getting main pokemon games? So far, pokemon has always required BC between 2 handheld gens

No you don't. All that's important is that the resolution remainsa the same. Since 3DS screens have such a low resolution, it won't be a problem to fit two screen simultanously, even if they are a bit smaller inchwise.

Ugh, agh... I'm sorry, is this question really that stupid, or is there something more to it, that I just can't see? NS will be getting all Nintendo games from now on. Why would Nintendo stop making Pokemon games? NS is here to replace both Wii U and 3DS and that's what's great about it.

Wii U is a GCN 2 - I called it months before the release!

My Vita to-buy list: The Walking Dead, Persona 4 Golden, Need for Speed: Most Wanted, TearAway, Ys: Memories of Celceta, Muramasa: The Demon Blade, History: Legends of War, FIFA 13, Final Fantasy HD X, X-2, Worms Revolution Extreme, The Amazing Spiderman, Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate - too many no-gaemz :/

My consoles: PS2 Slim, PS3 Slim 320 GB, PSV 32 GB, Wii, DSi.

720p in a 6.2'? ya good luck fitting those two screens in it.

We dont even knw if NS will be the replacement for 3ds. I never said nintendo will stop making pokemon games. I can see they will be making games like pokemon stadium or spinoffs, but for main title? doubt it they'll release it for NS. Oh there are hundreds more in neogaf that actually doubt we'll see any pokemon titles in NS. but yea, maybe you're nintendo insider after all, and we dont knw sht

Do you even know the resolution of the 3DS? 720p screen is more than what you need. It will be smaller, won't have 3D, but if you want the perfect experience - buy a 3DS. This isn't the console's selling point, all that matters is that it works and is playable.

We do know. Nintendo has been unifying its handheld and home console divisions for years, they've been talking about a unified library for years as well. Who cares about hundreds of idiots on neogaf? NS is it. This is the single gaming ecosystem that Nintendo will be going with from now on. There will most probably be other form factors and what-nots, but all games will be playable on this. Releasing a different system with a separate portfolio of games makes absolutely no sense and would be the most stupid thing Nintendo could do, it boggles my mind how people can even publicly admit to believing in such nonsense.

I am buying the Switch to be able to play PS4 caliber games on the go. Say what you want, but the ability to swotch between TV and handheld is a huge deal for me.

There is a lot of potential for Nintendo to knock it out of the park with or without BC. However if they did 3DS BC, that would be HUGE.

You wont be playing PS4 calibre games on the go.  It will be more like slightly better WiiU graphics.

BotW says otherwise.  Even the WiiU can play PS4 caliber games and you can't even play that on PS4.  Nice try though.  😉

I hope they port all the good Wii U games. There are around 10 games on the console I'd like to play, but I won't pay that much for the console, so I'd rather get them on the NS

You.. er... might want to confirm the specs of the console before you can say you can play PS4 caliber games on the go with the Switch. That video go the Switch playing Skyrim was apparently a concept video and doesn't actually mean that Skyrim is coming to Switch

meh i dont care as long as its digital BC ..last physical games i bought(smash and new super mario bros ) were brroken my the kids..smh

There's still hope for digital BC, which is all I care about.
