Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Gearbox Software Isn’t Convinced Yet About Supporting Nintendo Switch

A number of developers have already pledged support for the newly-revealed Nintendo Switch, but some aren’t convinced just yet. For example, although Gearbox Software CEO Randy Pitchford is a Nintendo fan and likes the idea behind the upcoming console, he is suggesting that his team will wait and see how things are down the line. “Time will tell,” he said. “I love Nintendo and I love Switch, but it has never been easy for 3rd parties.”

I hope Gearbox will end up supporting the Switch, it would suck if I couldn't play whatever masterpiece Gearbox comes up with next!

If I made a list of all developers and put them in order of who I most want to support the Switch, Gearbox would be close to the bottom of that list.

Wasn't their last game obliterated by Overwatch? Maybe one of the few current gen titles thst might find a slightly more favourite audience on a Nintendo console.

Oh no, what will I do without Gearbox games on my console. I'd be more disappointed if Konami weren't supporting my console of choice.

Shame, it's always nice to have as many 3rd parties as possible, but considering Gearbox's past, it's not as bad as it could be. Remember the "tragedy" of the WiiU port of Colonial Marines?

You know it deserves the GOTY.

Nintendo has a longlasting support problem, but maybe the NS is dodging a bullet here.

In the wilderness we go alone with our new knowledge and strength.

Borderlands is their good game and would be cool, they made a vita version so yeahh. Gearbox's library is kinda shit tho.

BL2 Vita version is awful btw. It is almost unplayable

Gearbox... only thing they make you might want is Borderlands.
No big loss.

Hahaha Brutal :)  I think OP is amoung the few that actually cares about Gearbox software on a nintendo system or not.

Well, I'll probably miss Borderlands 3, which is the only worthy Gearbox franchise. The rest of them are crap. I can deal with it.
