Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Take The Nintendo Switch's Third Party List With A Grain Of Salt

Pretty sure you guys remember the Wii U reveal: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=12vyUOdPXbE

Remember EA, Activision, and Ken Levine all came out to talk about their support for the Wii U?

Well next thing you know most of the Third Party Publishers jumped ship in the Wii U's first year.

Will this happen with the Switch as well?

I also recall the psvita dev list whb they announced it. Almost identical to the ps4 image, and 2 hugely different outcomes

How are we supposed to know?

Taking it with a grain of salt already. Skyrim is best on PC.

Yeah I don't know why Sony and Nintendo do this when they aren't concrete sure they'll get the support.

Yep I'm taking this one with a grain of salt, we'll have to wait and see how this goes.

i'll take this thread with a grain of salt

I think we've all learnt that the actual support will depend entirely on Nintendo's ability to get Switches into people's homes.

Even then, the major demographic that buys into it will determine what kind of software third parties make (casuals/core gamers).

So basically, it's too early to tell but it's kind of a chicken and egg scenario for Nintendo. If they don't tell people there are devs making games for it, people won't buy it.

ehhhhh, the Switch's third party list is still massively bigger than the Wii U.

also Skyrim being shown in the gameplay footage reveal with Bethesda has a confirmed third party supporter is prettyyyyyyy strong sign of better than Wii U support.

I wouldn't be surprised if Nintendo is paying for it rather than trust the third parties to do so on their own. Frankly with the way Bethesda has talked before, this is astonishingly good news to see
