Let me put this way: if it was out today, I would go to a store and buy it. I loved everything about it.

There's a difference between "I love what I've seen and want to buy it" and "It will be a gigantic smash hit and is a KO from big N". It's the same difference between an opinion and fanfiction. 

Especially when we learned nothing about the console today, it's hilarious to see this kind of reaction :D

I'm skeptical, but I feel like Nintendo can pull this off if they play their cards right. The key to success here is good advertising with a great collection of games to back it up.

I feel like the stars are aligned in their favor right now in terms of library potential. The unification of handheld and home console games onto one platform can make a perfect storm of first-party titles. If they can muster up a decent attempt at providing clarity and focus when advertising, good things are sure to come to them.

I know I'll be buying one, if only for the massive amount of exclusives that will inevitably come out for it.

Chuck in Pokemon, Monster Hunter, Animal Crossing and Yokai watch! Boom! Its people's wallets that will be exploding!

Like, it has the Nintendo console audience and the nintendo handheld audience in the same basket, huge numbers.

Also, it is a weird cool new gadget, so, more consumers, the gadget loving well paid nerds.

It looks super cool, so, well dressed trendies will enjoy it, good numbers from this crowd.

It has the multiplayer keep the kids quiet appeal, so, it will do numbers with family.

It has Just Dance, so, the joycons are wiimotes, which opens the door to casual fitness games and such.

Also, POKEMON! 

Man, it has success written all over it. 

You sir, understood it! Monster Hunter and Pokemon, Trauma Center, Ace Attorney!

No more "this is a great game I wish it was on a real video game machine and tv".

Now we got them all.

I don't see it being a success. The mass market is moving away from these type of gimmick consoles. i hate to say it but this will do less than the WiiU. Sad i know.

I see 40 mil being the minimum it sells LTD. If they play their cards right though, it can do 80mil plus.

Nintendo has too many huge IPs for it to just fail. Since the library is unified, they all will be coming to the NS. Unlike their last console, their stand alone handheld will not get the lion's share of the software.

I think you need to remember that the handheld market has seen a huge contraction in the last few years.

DS + PSP = 75 million units

The Switch is not doing 100 million units.
