Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Do you think Nintendo will use Nvidia's GeForce Now game streaming service?

Not a fan of streaming games... so I hope not.

It's too soon to be dependent on internet connection and physical copies have collection value to them along with resale value too often times ...

Thats true but I doubt most of the western third parties are going to be on board with the Switch and who knows if there is gonna be any draughts. So if they have this service, at least it will be something. I am not saying it should replace their physical content but just to have it in addition to its games library.

Well not like as its primary way of playing games but rather, an additional way of playing games cause I doubt all the western third parties will port games onto the NX. Specially stuff like the witcher 3 which GeForce Now has

An addition is always good regardless but Nintendo shouldn't rely on such a strategy both customer and vendor wise since it assumes higher standards for the former and for the latter it go on to create a huge precedent for the newer generations of workers at Nintendo to tone down on their own content production ...

I agree! But I don't have much confidence that it won't end up similarly to the wiiU with most of the western third party developers. Just look at what Bathesda is already saying. The thing just got announced and its already iffy.

Ignore what Bethesda says ...

They probably won't even bring AAA console ports to the Switch since they'll just use the "not enough performance" card against it ...

Would be a neat feature to have.. no idea if the Switch will get it though.. :/

When I first read the thread, I thought you meant the PC-to-Tablet stream: https://shield.nvidia.com/game-stream

Now, that would also be cool :)
