Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Do you think Nintendo will use Nvidia's GeForce Now game streaming service?

So Nvidia has this lovely game streaming service similar to PSNow but with more recent games like Tomb Raider. It would be pretty cool if Switch had it since that it would give it a bunch of third party games. Even some new games like Shadow Warrior 2 is on it!

Possibly but why doesn't the Switch have a modem ?

That could be used to enhance games where you have no access to wifi ...

It would be the best thing that could ever happen. Which means it won't happen. I really doubt that Nintendo would be cool with using a streaming service on their device. Even if it guaranteed them to get 3rd party multiplats.

That doesn't seem half far fetched. I could see it happening, were Nintendo smart enough to go for it. Would be an alright way to start the console off with a technically larger library, even if it is only streaming.

bet: lost

Thats true but maybe Nintendo and Nvidia could cut a deal since Nvidia's shield isn't very popular but the NX will be (at least compared to the shield).

Yeaa, and it does stream games at 1080p 60fps (assuming max settings) so that would be awesome if they did.

It's too soon to be dependent on internet connection and physical copies have collection value to them along with resale value too often times ...
