Judging for the size probally not right out of the box. I'm guessing it will suport SD cards for exapanded storage so I would hope they will allow for the bigger cards. Plus if you don't plan on using the mobile it will probally support a external HD.

If it supports SD cards I'll be happy. There is still a lot of unknowns at this point. Cartridges/SD cards make sense with something portable.

I think it's a given that it will support external storage of some kind through the USB slots on the side. At the very least, you should be able to have a healthy library at your home.

i'm a 100% digital gamer now so i don't care either way. what i would care about is how much internal memory does it have? being portable probably not enough for me.

skyrim+cartridge=head explodes

This has been brought up before, but what if each cartridge can hold multiple games? So in essence, it would word like an SD card, anyway.

The dream ain't dead yet, boys!

It's one of the thigs I like about the system.. I will kinda miss those WiiU discs though..

It's fantastic. Kids can scratch the games now and they won't be screaming at you asking to replace unreadable discs.

Since I started gaming on the PS2 on consoles, and DS on the handheld. I never had major issues on cartridges compared to discs.

Pocky Lover Boy!

What's the size of the internal storage? And I wonder whether they are as durable as Blu-Rays.

Edit: I know that Vita games are faster running from the memory cards than the cartridges.

for handhelds, cartridges is a must. less moving parts means longer battery life.

Don't bank it I'm sure it'll support external storage like the Wii U does but I'd be surprised if it has a lrage internal storage.

It doesn't need 500GB or 1TB like the Xbox One and PS4, since I doubt many games will be as large. However, I think 200-250GB of storage is necessary as more and more gamers go digital.

The Switch is rumored to have 32Gb internal storage with a posibility of being upgraded to 64Gb. I believe it's suposed to support SD cards anyway, I just hope Nintendo Switch makes use the latest spec SD cards.
