This is a non-issue on PS4.

Oh really? Error during install. Please delete some applications and try again. It takes time... Damn demo disc of psvr needed 80GB free before it would run, while it only needs 40GB. It will be a big advantage if the switch doesn't need to install and can save the patches on the cartridge.

Well, it's never been an issue for me at least, and I can be pretty picky. But yes, I suppose it's not instantanious, nor without various hiccups. I honestly didn't know you need spacex2 for the PS4. PS3 had that problem, and I figured they would have dealt with it on PS4.

Well, definitely no FF games for the Switch I guess haha.

Amazing it's time we diversify between cartridges, discs, digital downloads, streamed or cloud based games etc., that speech about discs being superior during de PS1 era was somewhat bullshit, yeah the disc had more space yet a lot of developers only used it to place computer generated videos and shit, a lot of them didn't even use the full disc, and others were on the other side of the spectrum 4 disc for final fantasy? yeah the game was huge and had a lot of content, but also it was probably poorly optimized in the coding department, i mean you are telling me 700mb x 4 disc werren't enough space but the Game Cube games did fine on a 1.5 GB limit?, the load times were eternal on some games, the disc scratched easily and the reader failed a lot, don't get me wrong i loved my PS1 games like the crash series, silent hill, resident evil 2, the final fantasys, mega mans and others, but i never understood all the inferiority talk about the cartridges while they could clearly output great games like Mario 64, The Zeldas or Golden Eye, the thing i remember is that the PS1 CDs were super cheap and the N64 cartridges were more expensive, we had a weak PC at that time were we played games on 3 1/2 diskettes and others in CD, and some others directly installed onto the HDD, there were amazing experiences from games like lemmings, Pac-Mac, Tetris, and others like the ultimas, doom, space hulk, the wing commander series.

Later during the PS2 era there was this line of telling everyone how PS2 was better than Dreamcast and the Gamecube because the PS2 used normal DVDs of 4.7 GB, and the others used CDs and mini DVDs, yet i have my PC versions of Max Payne, Halo and other games from that era in normal single CDs. And getting back to the cartridges i still play my pokemon yellow version along with the red version in pokemon stadium with the transfer pak to see if i can finish to get the 151 pokemon.

You might be surprised. Cartridges nowadays can hold a lot.

Imagine the physical space savings!

Also no more worries about scratches or other gunk.

Though that doesn't change the fact that I'll blow on the cart :)

I want Vita game box dimensions.
