Forums - Nintendo Discussion - How do you feel about the Switch using cartridges?

I thought I wouldn't like it but now that I think about it I really don't mind. Thoughts?

I always preferred carts to CDs, so I like it a lot.

[3DS] Winter Playtimes [Wii U]

It's the perfect format for any portable, so I think it's a big yes.

You know it deserves the GOTY.

If loading times are seriously reduced then they could use VHS tapes for all I care.

One of the only things I like about the thing.

Imagine the physical space savings!

Also no more worries about scratches or other gunk.

Though that doesn't change the fact that I'll blow on the cart :)

I predict NX launches in 2017 - not 2016

Less load times and game saves on the cart had me sold. No more system transfer BS and losing saves if you have to replace the system.

I love it! I really hope it means that we won't need to install much onto the console itself
