Certainly it is an achievement and this is leagues ahead of both the 3ds and the Vita as far as handhelds go in terms of power but ps4 levels is quite a lot to achieve. While it is true that ps4 does use pretty weak parts, it still has better cooling and is able to draw more power than the NX ever will be able to. When you take that into consideration as well as drawing too much power will also kill the battery life, it suddenly becomes harder for the NX to reach those levels even with a lot more efficient architecture. If it weren't for those limitations, I would say it has a shot but considering those, I am skeptical.

At best, it will be with x1 imo

On Battery life Nintendo have stated NS is a home console first and foremost so long battery life may not exactly be their priority, this also points to the high possibility that a dedicated 3DS successor is on the way to fill that role properly. I wouldn't be surprised if NS has a recharge cable of some sort for play away from home and if the platform in portable mode simply scales down to a lower resolution than when it's docked.

Yea they have stated that but it would be odd to release two portable products from them. It will confuse the consumers if they did that and potentially compete with themselves... But we don't know if thats even going to be a thing so we should just speculate on what we do know. Nintendo can call it a home console "first and foremost" but if it acts like a handheld that can connect to the TV, then that is what most people will see it as.

They did show quite a bit of portability on its trailer so I doubt the battery will be short. Even if it isn't very long, it still has to be a consideration if they are going to advertise it as portable device in any sense. They showed it being played on airplanes and car trips so...

And yea, I wouldn't doubt that there might be a power saving technique like that.

Bullshit, even docked it won´t be half as powerfull than a XOne.

If it has Mario Galaxy 3, it wont matter any to me lmao.

It has mario and zelda, thats basically enough for me.

Vita has PS4 game ports too.

Vita as powerful as the PS4 confirmed?

Some Vita ports your like... how did they do this on the vita?

One thing is clear: there will be extra juice when you dock the thing. It just looks super cool.

well that's the thing, the ps4 is using mobile components. I don't expect this to be a lot better or a lot worse.  but one thing is sure, if this handheld, console can play a bugthesda game with a renovated engine at a stable framerate ON a cartdrige, that's an achievement.

Just drop the resolution to 720p and you're done.

I cannot imagine toilet-free life.

Kebabs have a unique attribute compared to other consumables. To unlock this effect you need to wolf down a big ass kebab really fast, like under 10 minutes or so and wait for the effect to kick in. If done correctly your movements should feel unbelievably heavy to the point where you literally cannot move at all.

It's only odd if you look at vague similarities, NX I've suspected was always going to be a family of devices under one ecosystem but different execution in what they do. Most people will see NS as a console that can act like a portable, 3DS' successor is likely a portable only device that may even touch on some mobile aspects but not connect to a TV, they may overlap in some aspects but won't be the same.

Portable just means you can take it with you, if it has poor battery life but comes with a convenient charging cable it's still portable and can still be marketed as such.

i also have the feel they wont put touch controls of any kind in the system, we havent seen anything in the trailer for the tablet. So this means they maybe saved there money too to have more power

Considering how Nintendo's marketing has been... I doubt they would do a good job at showing what makes them different apart from one connects to a TV and one doesn't... Most people would just see them as one with a big screen and the other with the small one. Assuming it even happens.

Yes cause carrying a charging cable is exactly what people want to do with a portable device. If the battery life really is poor, that means they would have to charge it often. I wouldn't call that convient at all... Specially since we don't know whether or not a portable powerbank can output enough to charge it faster than it is draining.

Docked? Maybe. As a handheld? Yeah, but no, even on 14nm that just too much watts for handheld.

lol it might have a chip technically as strong as the ps4 one but as long as the chip is supplied with 20W- and the Ps4 one with 100W+ , the ps4 will perform at least twice more than the Switch, otherwise the Switch will burn in poeple's hand.
