I love playing VITA games on my flat screen TV via PSTV.  I think Nintendo should immplement some way to play 3DS/DS games on a flat screen TV as well.  Use the smalll screen and the flat screen TV as dual screens.  Make it backwards compatible, Nintendo.

It probably will be. Have you seen the cartridge used in the ad? It was very similar to the original DS cartridge.

Playing a 3DS game on the TV would look awful :p

I wouldn't really mind either way

Indeed. Having skipped out on many Nintendo systems since I was a kid, it would be great if this had good legacy support, one way or another.

Why would they abandon that concept? It's not like a touchscreen is impossible, but it will probably start to fade with time. Shame, I like the touchscreen features of the DS lineup.

I'd love to have all DS and 3DS games on the Eshop. Though I think it'd be better to play them on the tablet screen, not the TV



Wii U is a GCN 2 - I called it months before the release!

My Vita to-buy list: The Walking Dead, Persona 4 Golden, Need for Speed: Most Wanted, TearAway, Ys: Memories of Celceta, Muramasa: The Demon Blade, History: Legends of War, FIFA 13, Final Fantasy HD X, X-2, Worms Revolution Extreme, The Amazing Spiderman, Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate - too many no-gaemz :/

My consoles: PS2 Slim, PS3 Slim 320 GB, PSV 32 GB, Wii, DSi.

It MAY keep it for Wii U and tablet support, but the NS games we saw clearly didn't bother with it. With the detachable controllers and new Pro controller, it certainly doesn't seem to be essential.
