no

Your just saying that because of how they treated you this Gen with the Wii U in your country.

Which I admit was probably worse than any other area.

Probably.

But mainly because im getting old and really don't have much time. I would love one console to do it all.

ATM i mainly use my PS4 to watch NBA. MLB and NFL lol.

if it's supposed to replace the WiiU and 3DS, it's going to do poorly (in comparison with the 3DS)

If it's only going to replace the WiiU, it will do better than the WiiU, I think 30 millions lifetime probably. Which would be a success for Nintendo in the home console market.

only because a lot of people bought like 20 of them lol. All them limited editio consoles mmmmm.

Wait, what is confusing about Switch? I mean, they pretty much explained in 3 minutes what we can do with it. It's miles ahead the WiiU concept, though it's obviously inspired in it. The problem is that people didn't really know what the Gamepad could do. I mean, it's like a tablet for playing games home, so what? That's not marketable. Now, a home console you can take with you? It's really straightforward. This trailer is perfect, and it really shows that Nintendo marketing is now doing things right compared to the WiiU era imo.

What you say is perfectly fine by me IF it will have CURRENT GEN QUALITY HOME CONSOLE GAMES (MULTIPLATFORM), I don't think Nvidia should be selling the GTX 1080 for excellent performance in demanding games if all the people could simply use a Tegra processor that costs a fifth instead that consumes very little Watts and doesn't even need a heatsink and a fan. Will the majority of people believe it will have all the AAA home console games? (or capable of).

Can you really call this "home" console? (not a real question, more like an invite to think careful about this particular aspect, I know well Nintendo markets it at a "home" console, but every PR guy in every company tells lies)

PS: I really agree with you about the WiiU marketing problem, you nailed it in few words.

Yeah, I get what you say. But I think (and this is, probably, just semantics or free interpretation of what a home console is xD) that power is not what makes a home console. I mean WiiU was really underpowered and it's still a home console. Hell, NES is still a home console right now imo haha. The Switch is actually a home portable console. Or a portable home console. It doesn't really matter actually, it can do both. As long as you can plug it into your TV, playing with several controllers with your friends/family/whoever, is for me a home console. So, yeah, I think it's just semantics.

I really cant tell.

It was a nice move, but it depends on whether it can keep up or not library wise...

it depends, if they don't get third party support then it'll be WiiU all over again.

Motherboard: MSI MEG X670E GODLIKE
RAM: CORSAIR DOMINATOR PLATINUM 32GB DDR5
SSD: Kingston FURY Renegade 4TB
Gaming Console: PLAYSTATION 5

Can anyone tell me how the 3DS was doing when it released at $249? I mean saleswise. Was it doing well?

I know, where do you put the toast in?

I probably won't be buying it, but I think it will be successful. It is the most perfect embodiment of Nintendo's post Gamecube philosophy (low power/unique concepts).

If it fails though, Nintendo will have to completely rethink how they operate.

Nintendo Shift uses a completely different Api and OS to Android/iOS. Emulation would be the only way and there would be performance hit for doing that.

How do we know that? Maybe Nintendo designed their OS around a android base?

Basically the surface looks very differnt from Android, but look under the UI. and it could be running android for all we know.

It would make sense, and reduce how much time & money, they would need to spend to get things up and running.

Read Nvidia's blog post on the Nintendo Switch it states things quite clearly
