That is a good list, but the question is: Will they stay?

And, will they bring the real goods? I'm hoping for some JRPGs to come to the console.

It will probably be ports at first from many of them.

I hope there are some good ones at least for a starter...

Yeah, games like Mass Effect Andromeda would be cool. If the Switch can run it ofcourse.

You might want to look at a mirror on that one, m'kay?  Or did I imagine your "memo" remark?  I ask because you keep saying stuff that honestly makes me wonder.  Why would you bring up "nudity and child killing mods" when they aren't allowed on Bethesda.net at all, much less consoles?  Sony and Bethesda might have made a deal but in the eyes of many consumers it is far from being a satisfactory resolution.  Besides that, I don't even know why you started an argument when all I did was ask a rhetorical question that neither you nor I can answer yet.  We can guess, sure, but unless you can prove to me that you knew Skyrim would be on a Nintendo system in the first place, then those are just assumptions.  I'm not going to argue over assumptions and, frankly, I don't know why you want to.

You asked if there were mods, because if Nintendo had them, that mean that it would push Sony into the doghouse, and to me, being a reasonable person, the only way some could possibly think that were true was if they still thought mods weren't coming to the PS4.  This is of course, assuming that the Switch actually gets a version of Skyrim that can support mods. For all you know it's getting a slightly more polished version of the PS3's version of Skyrim, and that's it.

But how? How can you possibly assume that if Nintendo has mods they will be less restrictive than Sony. Why would you think that? On what grounds? Nintendo doesn't even like people talking to each on their platforms (to the detriment of gameplay, might I add) because someone's poor precious darling might hear a bad word. Do you think for one second that Nintnendo is going to allow anything that /might/ alter a games ESRB rating for half a second?

Pardon me for assuming that you couldn't possibly have known that Sony and Bethesda had worked out an agreement, because it is not reasonable to assume that mod support on a Nintendo console would be more open than mod support on a Sony console. Sony won't allow users to use mods that require uploading external assets, what makes you think Nintendo will? Seriously. What other decisions and announcements have Nintendo made in the past, that would make you think they're more likely than Sony to allow mods with external assets.

Because based on my experience with them, to pretend that Nintendo is less likely to lockdown their console than Sony is is completely laughable.

How do you not understand that I was simply asking a question?  At no point did I give my own opinion about Nintendo having mods or not.  Seriously, why are you even trying to start an argument over this?  No, I don't believe that Nintendo will have mods, I was simply asking others what they thought.  Why would you argue with me about that?  Makes zero sense.

As for Sony, they are absolutely in the doghouse right now with thousands of consumers.  There is no arguing that with anyone who understands the situation.

I really, honestly, have no idea why you are trying to start an argument over a simple question.

I posted a small comment on the news article, but to sum up the third party cycle with Nintendo at this point:

1) Be informed about new Nintendo console
2) Be totally excited and commit to jumping on board and finally repairing that third party relationship
3) Release a few ports of previously released games, maybe spending a bit of time focusing on the latest gimmick
4) Complain because sales just weren't good enough
5) Abandon Nintendo until it is time to repeat the cycle again in 4 - 6 years, sprinkling in excuses for the lack of support being optional

As others have stated, third parties have a habit of jumping on board with any new console, and jumping ship the exact moment sales don't go well, particularly with Nintendo consoles where trust basically doesn't exist. Let's see if third parties can get beyond the porting of already released games phase before we start praising the second coming of third party support for Nintendo.

That's one of the biggest concerns with the console so far... Also console space.

I guess that list would be amazing...if it wasn't amusing.

While Bethesda's much beloved Skyrim was clearly shown during Nintendo's Switch reveal video, the publisher told us today that it's not officially confirming the game just yet. "We're happy to have had the opportunity to collaborate with Nintendo on the video. While we are not confirming any specific titles at this time, we are pleased to announce our partnership with Nintendo and support of the Switch. We look forward to revealing specific games and details in the future," a spokesperson said.

When we say that the publishers are not comitting to do anything :D

I think third party support will be like if the Wii U (first two years) had sex with a 3DS, lol.

So a few ports of some of the big Western IP (Madden, maybe a COD, Batman, Ass Creed) paired with 3DS' Japanese stuff like Dragon Quest and Monster Hunter and Yokai Watch.

Also I think there will be more PS3/360 engines/ports not so much PS4/XB1 ports.
