Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Nintendo Switch, what did you like, and what did you dislike?

I actually love the whole thing. I don't have any real negative points to make about it, or at least nothing solid. I do hope that Nintendo brings a legitimate online service to it, but we'll have to wait and see on that.

Strange to think this is going to usher us Nintendo fans into the 9th gen

Because shared generations are now an outdated concept.

Well not really, but the Wii was even more powerful than the Gamecube (the strongest hardware the gen prior). Wii U was also stronger than ps360. Switch however doesn't even appear stronger than the vanilla Xbone (the weakest of 8th gens hardware). This will officially be the weakest hardware comparitively to gen that Nintendo has ever put out.

Truth, I actually can't wait to see what their new miiverse, and apps, ect will look like. The share button is a good sign. Loving that, and hoping miiverse will be able to meet its full potential in an online driven world.

only thing i can think of after seeing the reveal is   ...who is going to be suing who?  We just saw that video of some other company with a similar machine that was "unable to market it" because as some people stated, "it was just a bad idea that wasn't asked for."  The Aikon Morphus, was it?

You know it's coming.

This is pretty much a Wii U 2. Or if you prefer, it is exactly what the Wii U should have been from the get go.
I really like what I'm seeing. Especially the new 3D Mario game. :D
Day one. No matter the specs, I'm already sold.

Only thing I don't like is the freakishly small "half-controllers", which I don't think I'll ever use. xD

I like it is a new hardware with a new Archtecture. A new chance for ARM to deep in "high" performance.

Everything else... Well, they smell bad choises and unfocused market.

It can't compet against PS4XO in power, it will be throunced by Pro and Scorpio.

It's too big for a handheld and will compet against, lets say, 300mi Android and iOS smartphone and tablets. Including W10 devices.

I like that Nintendo is prioritizing its handheld gamers. My favorite video game platforms (besides PC) for the last few generations have been handhelds. I am very much loving the idea of playing Zelda at home, and then playing it on the bus. The hardware is fine. 720p is good enough for a screen that small, and I suspect there is some extra rendering power in the dock that allows for 900p + resolutions. That is a big boost in image quality for Nintendo games over Wii U. I am excited that I can buy one platform and play all of my Nintendo games. I very much like the look and design of the system. Can't wait to get mine!

The batteries will probably sucks, maximum probably on the same level or slightly above vita, but if we talk about recent tegra K capability that able to run on a few cores (downgrade mode) will able to run games at lower power stage. But overall i like about this, even better the Wii U.

But WiiU is builded around the doble screen concept of DS, this is a pretty standart console actually that turns into a high end handheld with detachable controllers, I don't really feel it like a WiiU beyond the fact that most games on the trailer were WiiU games.
