1. The concept is neat but poorly executed. Instead of a portable gaming system, they made a tablet. I still don't where I could be using this. Maybe on the plane but I can just as well use my iPad which is a multipurpose device.

2. The games don't seem great either as it's more of the same unappealing Nintendo IPs but that's subjective, of course.

3. The controllers still look cheaply made and uncomfortable.

Overall, it just looks like the WiiU 2 to me.

If you think this is a wiiu 2 you didn't understand the concept at all, wiiu was build around the gamepad with the touchscreen, this is NOT, it doesn't have a second screen while playing, this is not a WiiU2.

A lot of the software was more focused on the off the tv play. Hardware wise it may have been built with a different purpose in mind, but in practice its similar, especially for us who game at home, and not really on the go.

Yep, it's actually worse than Wii U.

I'm afraid Nintendo will delay Wii U version of Zelda. BotW runs and looks like shit on Switch in portable mode. They need to sell it, so...

Still mad that they dropped fully functional map on the U pad because of the plastic toy "Switch".

Man you are just  painfully depressive, always.

As someone who only plays on the tv, I hated it.
That tablet will be perpetually on the dock. I wish they make a cheaper version without the thing.

Pretty much. At least the gamepad could show the map and let you do inventory mangemant via touchscreen.
This add screams more bait and switch to me. Lock the pad in the dock to play :(

I like that Nintendo IPs might be cheap for another company to take advantage of it and use them like you should these days.

It looks like a concept built around a gimmick.
It looks underpowered.
It looks like it doesn't support BluRay.
It looks like it is totally denying the existence of VR.
It looks like it get lots of old ports of games that released years ago.
It looks cheap.

I like the need to innovate, but be reasonable.

I used to love Nintendo, but they are stuck in the 90s

Imagine not having GamePass on your console...

It's an interesting idea but I don't care for it. Frankly, it looks like a powerful handheld and a weak console. I am personally far more invested into home console (and PC on the side) gaming than handhelds so this doesn't appeal to me. It seems like they want that third party support which I think will be crucial in helping Switch go toe-to-toe with the PS4 and Xbone.

Japan is gonna eat it up, I'm not so sure the rest of the world is but time will tell.

I'm too excited to find any "cons".

Anybody remember the DS reveal? Every after E3 (2004, I think), they still changed the hardware prior to release. As good as I think the hardware looks, there's a possibility that it could look better!

Welcome back, Nintendo. We missed you.

720p is less than half of 1080p, so i fail to see why a system half as strong as the X1 (with consideration to my note about the CPU) wouldn't run it. Something half-way between the WiiU and X1 would be a moderate step above that, so baring Bethesda being even less competent optimizers than normal, i'd honestly be shocked if they couldn't get it to run.

It may be half the resolution but it doesn't mean anything at 720p can be run at half the power.

You really do not realise that Zelda U suffer from whole Switch concept? It would be a better game if it was a Wii U exclusive.

I seriously doubt that. An XBox One even at 14/16nm consumes like 50 watts of electricty, the NX will last about 10 minutes before melting or running out of battery.

Everything shown in that trailer to me looked like basically a Wii U, maybe a bit better.

Portable form factor basically makes XB1 direct power comparison impossible.

They definitely should have swung for the fences when thinking what games they would show. There should have been at least 1 graphical powerhouse game.

On the plus side, the commercial didn't make me want to gag, so good on Nintendo

I disagree. Especially if they're having a more special event later, saving the good stuff would be appropriate.

To me my first reaction was: ''This is the last Nintendo console''

I do not see the appeal in it. Ive been trying to find positives, but i cant

Wow Amy you haven't found at least 1 thing you liked about it? I know you're serious about this because you're a big fan of Nintendo.
