Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Nintendo Switch, what did you like, and what did you dislike?

For me

Likes:

The pro controller looks easily like the best one Nintendo ever had.

The games that were there looked cool. Always down for Mario/Kart, Splatoon, ect.

Looks incredibly easy to take on the go. I figured you'd have to turn it off while docking.

Having Wii U games on th go seems cool enough.

Dislikes:

Seems like Wii U in terms of power, please correct me if I'm wrong.

Docking station does not have a SCD, at least by looking at it, again correct me if I'm wrong

The switch controller that disconnects looks kind of bad, would not use it unless on the go.

Using half a controller looks awkward to use.

If it's really a new Tegra chip, It'll be quite a bit more powerful than the Wii U's hardware. Nvidia is also coöperating with Nintendo to tightly integrate the OS with the machine. I expect around PS4 performance (which with Nintendo's optimization is quite a good thing).

Home console wise, it'll be ok, portable console wize, it'll be quite a sight to behold (imagine Pokémon on that thing).

Honestly I was extremely bearish on this whole hybrd concept, but clearly Nintendo did its homework. With Nintendo developers making games for Switch and Switch only, there should be a steady influx of first-party content. The "traditional" controller looks great, and I love that you can play local multiplayer with friends on the go.

I'm glad it doesn't look to break the bank in terms of hardware.

The fact it appears to have the best 3rd party support for a Nintendo console since the SNES is really enticing.

I predict NX launches in 2017 - not 2016

I like the fact that is a hybrid, that will save me the money for two pieces of hardware. I like the fact that it has cartridges, and maybe 3DS BC support? I like the fact it has Skyrim, at least one big 3rd party game is there already. I like the fact they sort-of confirmed MK8 and Splatoon to be there, probably more WiiU ports coming as well.

I don't like the name, it's awful. And it will probably suffer on the online category. And two controllers, one on each hand seems annoying, but at least there is the Switch Real controller.

You know it deserves the GOTY.

I like the very small form factor.
I like the new pro controller.
I like the possible new 3D Mario.
I would love it if they didn't release a separate successor to the 3DS as some suggested before the reveal.

I don't like that it exists and they didn't just go 3rd party.

I don't care that it's a hybrid since it will never leave its dock anyway.

Its a bit too hard for me to tell atm... Cause they didn't show enough like the battery or the price.

I am not liking the controller when the device is attached to the docking station

The bezels are quite big for my liking but thats just nit picky

It is a bit big to carry around but eh

I do like that you can take your games to go

For a handheld (unless the docking station provides extra noticeable performance), it is awesomee

Can't be Wii U level in terms of power because the persion was playing Skyrim Remastered so the console has to be minimum around X1 level for that due to the new textures in the game and all.

Another gimmicky load of tosh, the WiiU 2... I really wish Nintendo would just make games for PS4 & XB1...

A few things to look at
