Come back to http://www.nintendo.co.uk at 16:00 CEST (3pm UK time) for a first look at Nintendo’s next gaming platform, codenamed NX.
This preview trailer will serve as Nintendo’s preliminary announcement of information regarding the platform.

On the french Nintendo site it says:

"Console de salon" means home console, so...

The wording used makes me think NX is, indeed, a tablet.

Most of us won't take a tablet like device that only plays games outside. No, we would carry it across our home, playing wherever we want, thus making it a "home gaming system".

Also, one of the most liked features of Wii U was the ability to play on the Gamepad without the TV, and I wouldn't be surprised if Nintendo picked that idea and improved it, with NX being basically a hardware powered tablet/gamepad to play wherever we want with a dongle or dock to stream the game to the TV. Of course, such tablet would be very power hungry, which would explain why Nintendo calls it a home system, as you'll need to plug it quite often.

Please excuse my bad English.

Currently gaming on a PC with an i5-4670k@stock (for now), 16Gb RAM 1600 MHz and a GTX 1070

Steam / Live / NNID : jonxiquet    Add me if you want, but I'm a single player gamer.

I linked it a few post a few hours before, but Nintendo was very careful not to call the WiiU a home gaming system during launch, but just a gaming system! We'll see in 10min why NoA now slips home here or there for the NX.

Yes, and they do look silly.

But it's a gaming tablet and Nintendo hasn't used beefy batteries with their latest handhelds, so I don't think this time will be different. That's why you won't be able to take it outside.

Only to your car, if you buy the adaptor to use the with the lighter.

Well that's pretty telling. Everyone praying for it not to be a tablet hybrid can unclinch their butts now.

It may still be a hybrid, but with more focus on the home gaming experience, so let's leave the butts clinched for now...

Those asses are in knots!

Did i just see Skyrim?
