That's telling news. Home gaming systems don't use NVIDIA TEGRA MOBILE chips. AMD all the way. Unless again, it's a hybrid. I'm too hyped for this.

Is NX just a powerful wii u with the difference of the tablet controller being also an autonomus device that has a game slot,  and you can curry  the system anywhere, continue playing the game that you were playing in your home sitting on your sofa? Or NX just a robust home console that will connect with the handheld console which will be revealed/released later?

It's good if it's not replacing 3ds! The disclosure won't cause a detriment to the ongoing pokemon go effect ( + 2ds bundled with MK7 for just 80$ ) + possible Pokemon S/M effect on holidays and the game sales itself ! :) We all saw what a simple release date announcement did it to wii u, albeit 3ds and wii u are incomparable sizes!

It wouldn't be weird if its not replacing 3ds! Nintendo hasn't killed it yet, they are actually promoting it like crazy after Pokémon go release!
Who did expect all these game on the September direct when NX Is so close or the late successful 2ds release in Japan!

That's because the other rumour is that the are two platforms with one being a HC and the other being a HH, the one due March is the HC and is claimed to have a Gamepad like controller that is more advance. Going by assumption it's possible that those who passed the information on got a glance of the HC and mistook it for a hybrid while some other sources may have come across the HH hence all the conflicting information, that's ofcourse if it's all true.
