Some of you may remember my rant after I quit my last job. Well, I've been in my new job for just over two months now and I couldn't be happier.

I work as a network administrator for two enterprise sized tenants. We are a really small team of 3 people who do everything from network to security(but not servers). The work is varied and we got a pretty good reputation for keeping everything running. Everyone at work is really nice and friendly. It's very social but without the pressure of participating in social events. Our office is pretty big for 3 people and cut off from the rest of the other teams so most of the day it's very quiet and relaxing. Yes, we have air conditioning.

My work is just demanding enough for me to live my passion and be creative but not too demanding to be stressful. I do have responsibility but a great team to back me up. We have a lot of fun and I don't think a day goes buy without us being silly and laughing. And the best part, I barely do anything in a normal work day. It's not that there is nothing to do but because I can stretch out my workload pretty far without anyone complaining. We also have a long term intern that helps with all the tedious work no one in  the team wants to do. That gives me enough time in a day to surf the web, educate myself about interesting stuff and finally pursue my Japanese learning again. Yet my pay is the highest it's ever been and I'm expecting a raise after my 6 month trial period. It's basically heaven

Well, now you know why I'm always so cheerful and positive in this forum.

Anyone else who loves his job?

Why do you think we're gamers?  We drown our occupational sorrows in blood, guts, and animated boobs.

I like being my own boss and the freedom it affords me.

Day to day I wouldn't call it exciting, but any stress I deal with is self inflicted due to standards I have for myself as opposed to some supervisor.

I thought everyone plays games just to waste time between exciting work days.

Self employment would never work out for me but I'm glad there are people like you. What kind of company do you run?

great to hear you love your job. Getting a job that doesn't make you want to kill yourself is the key to not dying from a heart attack.

12/22/2016- Made a bet with Ganoncrotch that the first 6 months of 2017 will be worse than 2016. A poll will be made to determine the winner. Loser has to take a picture of them imitating their profile picture.

Maybe I'll die from heart attack when I start bringing hookers and blow into the office. After all it's pretty relaxed and secluded there.

Me!

My job is to basically occupy myself and remain physically fit in order to respond to hostile actions. Some days there is a little more to it that I'm not allowed to disclose but, fit the most part, I'm left to my own devices. I bring home twice what I made working TWO full jobs as a cop and I only work 15 days a month unless I'm assigned overtime. Some people i work with have completed online college courses during their work day.

I wake up excited for work sometimes.

I love my salary, free time and holyday. I'm not even required to actually "work". If my personality didn't prevent me from being able to love a job, I would definitely love my job.
Too bad I hate working.
