What exactly would R* have to gain from revealing the new Red Dead at the NX reveal? It would make as much sense as Valve showing Half Life 3 on PSX. The fanbase is somewhere else. And that's why I believe there's about 0% chance of this turning out to be true.

Well that would bring the attention to NX, and people would be aware fact that great new West 3rd party game is coming on new Nintendo platform.

I think you're missing the point here.

Why would R* care about bringing attention to the NX? They are not in the business of selling NX's

At least the results of this thread by weeks end won't be disappointing either way.

l <---- Do you mean this glitch Gribble?  If not, I'll keep looking.

I am on the other side of my sig....am I warm or cold?

Marco....

Gotta love Nintendo fans

Of course Red Dead is coming to NX, just like GTA on Game Cube, Wii and Wiiu

R* doesn't need to be a sidenote on Nintendo's show, they can afford to be the main event whenever they chose to reveal the new GTA or Red Dead and that means they wouldn't throw out the impact of making a first impression on a supposed reveal for a new hardware, especially Nintendo hardware. It just makes 0 sense, and you can quote me on this when finally the NX shows and you hear/see nothing regarding R* there.

And since when appearing on a Nintendo conference, be it live or a direct, for a new hardware make zero sense?Assuming that the NX can handle the game just fine, it would make 100% sense to make the debut there. The hype for the NX is big for several reasons, and when Nintendo says when they are revealing it, everyone will tune in, be it out of curiosity or because he is interested in the machine. And if Rockstar manages to capitalize on the hype, it would make for a bigger impact than revealing anywhere else in my opinion. Its quite tiring, to be completely honest, to hear as the only argument "Its Nintendo, they dont want/dont have audience for "mature" games".Im not saying wether this reveal at the NX unveil is possible or not, Im discussing wether it would have impact or not ig shown there.People forget that Nintendo in one of the oldest and most influential, if not the mist, companies out there. If the reveal is done properly, it could have wide reaching effects.

The hype for the NX is big for Nintendo fans. I have not even once in real life heard anyone say 'wow, what about that NX? can't wait to see what it's all about'

The cross section of Nintendo and RDR fans is probably as thin as Trump's skin.

R* sold more copies of RDR (without ever going to PC even) than Nintendo did with it's last home console. And pro tip... none of them were on Nintendo hardware. It's irrelevant what Nintendo 'used to be' in your eyes, most of the people who grew up playin NES have for long time ago moved on to PS, Xbox and PC. Good on them to have some of a foot on the pre-teen and family friendly / casual audience, they are a great introduction to the new generations to gaming as a hobby.

I'm not trying to be confrontational here, but I think there's a desperate need of a reality check by some people commenting on this speculation.

I heard Half-Life 3 is also going to come out on the NX. A kitty told me this.

You need to know that companies, and that include Rockstar and Take-two, dosent care about the companies past or its relationship with them. They care about sales potential.if they think they can sell games there, even if only it is 10% of total sales across all platforms, and make a profit out of it, they will make a game for the system. And since we know nothing about the NX, the system is like schrödigers cat, it could be the next Wii or the next Wii U.

And in regard to the NX hype, really?Only nintendo fans are hyped? So the E3 line for Breath of the Wild, which is comming to NX, was made just of Nintendo fans?Or the internet post E3 talk that Nintendo dominated(there was some data companie that release data about twitter porcentage of topics related to E3 or something of the like), was just nintendo fans hyped?Or the countless rumours circulating, that all forums ends up talking about. Are them all only made up of Nintendo fans? Please.

just as Nintendo lost third party support starting with the n64(generally speaking), it could happen to gain them back, assuming Nintendo do the right decisions with the NX.

My (locked) thread about how difficulty should be a decision for the developers, not the gamers.

Wether or not it would get more attention at the NX reveal or at the PSX is questionable, but I really think that a reveal with the NX would be big regardless.First of all, its a Red Dead game.It would make the headlines one way or another. And second and most important, it would have the news that it would be comming to a Nintendo platform to spice things up.I think that way everyone would be talking about it, not only because its unprecedentand in a way, but also because it would lead to discussions about how powerful the NX is, and Red Dead would always be brought up, keeping it relevant.

What exactly would R* have to gain from revealing the new Red Dead at the NX reveal? It would make as much sense as Valve showing Half Life 3 on PSX. The fanbase is somewhere else. And that's why I believe there's about 0% chance of this turning out to be true.

While I'm sure the majority of fans are on PC, there is still a large enough fanbase on consoles to warrant such a reveal. Red Dead and Nintendo diehards? Not so much.

@ OP

You better deliver on that butt pic!

I think VGC should start a policy similar to Gaf. You "leak" something like this ad it turns out wrong, you get a day ban. That way we don't clutter the boards with things like this.

I wish the rumor not to come true so I can see your big butt...hehe

Just kidding, hope the rumor comes true as well "the exclusive rumored Good and Evil 2 for the NX"

Why would Activision reveal a COD game at a Sony press conference?
