So many have been talking about how the Xbox is putting in work in the US recently in terms of hardware sales, and how the PS4 is losing it and all that nonsense. So I feel like pointing out some things to the peeps who really believe the tides are turning

Last year, the PS4 had its price cut in October, sales were down year on year in that very month with the price cut included, and it was very grim and very sad. PS4 got outsold by bone, and shit was looking bleak. PS4 was done. And then, something magical happened, the PS4 sales exploded in November and December and that gap between the Xbox and PS4 increased tremendously, more so than it usually does per month, and the little ground Xbox made in October was wiped out so easily it's almost as if it didn't happen. So, using some logic and looking at the trends for the holidays during the last decade, we know that this year, once again, PS4 sales will explode in the holidays, not only due to the lower price and a new slim model, but due to the PS4 pro. Oh and yes, the PS4 pro, wait for it, IS in fact a PS4, and will be counted as such with every sale from the pro adding to PS4's LTD sales.

Here's what will happen:

- Xbox will probably outsell PS4 in October due to Battlefield marketing and Gears of War (might move a few bundles), or maybe it won't, it really is a toss up (if Xbox wins the PS4 will officially be considered dethroned as top dog in the US, and we will get a bunch of "the king has returned" memes for xbox)

- PS4 will take November with ease, being up year on year big time due to the sheer amount of games releasing in that month, along with a brand new model that, yes, is already showing to be successful with high pre orders (http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showpost.php?p=220370765&postcount=836  - also look at amazon for all countries) and with the slim model getting some fire sale deals and of course, black friday which is growing in popularity with every year that passes (and then everyone who said or implied that xbox is making a comeback due to "muh 4k blu ray" will look dumb)

- PS4 will also take December because it's the PS4, it actually has a relatively high profile exclusive releasing that month which is The Last Guardian, the pro will be out by then with no more pre orders taking away from actual, official sales numbers and we'll see some truly big holiday sales (i consider truly big to be around 2 mill) for the first time in a good while. Exciting stuff

Bonus: PSVR sells some consoles as well

Double Bonus: the gap that the xbox one made up these last few months will be wiped out in one single month, and not only that, the gap will grow by an even greater number in favor of the PS4

Around the Network

xbone wins October because people who are on the market for a new PS4 will wait for Pro. Sony wins November and December. 3DS will do really well because of Pokemon Sun and Moon which will compete with COD for the top-spot(COD will however win). NES Classic probably won't be tracked but will be a big hit
