Forums - Nintendo Discussion - What Nintendo games are your guilty pleasure.

Nintendo are fairly consistent when it comes to making a good video game, but as is the case with every developer they also make the odd stinker. However there are people out there who enjoy such games (and sometimes wont admit it). So here is your chance Nintendo gamers, get it off your chest. What are your Nintendo guilty pleasures. I will admit to quite enjoying a bit of Animal Crossing Amiibo festival with my daughter and also love the very average scoring Donkey Kong Jet Race/ Barrel Blast :)

Ocarina of Time. Its blocky graphics and hella outdated gameplay makes for a good time killer. Love bustin out my old N64

- Max Payne 3

The Nintendo games I like are ones that I'm not afraid to reveal though..

Zelda (TWW, TP, SS, ALBW, etc.)
Fire Emblem (Awakening, 7, 12)
Mario Kart
etc.

I guess Brawl would be one?
..and I didn't find Four Swords Adventure to be bad, though I wouldn't say I like it a lot :p

Tokio Mirage Sessions #FE. It's an excellent JRPG in terms of game mechanics, but it's story and characters are so corny and weird, i don't know how they made it work but it works really good. 9/10 from me.

Paper Mario Sticker Star. I mean I don't even like the games mechanics that much and it's often panned, but I love playing it. It might be the music though.

In my backlog to play after I finish Colour Splash, wasn't sure if the whole J-pop thing would resonate with me, but everybody seems to rave about this game. Can't wait to play it.

I liked Metroid Other M, basically because I just ignored the cinematics and played it as an action game rather than expecting it to be Super Metroid 2.

The play mechanics while a bit cumbersome at first become oddly satisfying after a while, like dodging attacks from a boss and then quickly shifting to first person to blow it away with missles just felt terrific.

It's a shame actually that it wasn't just it's own original IP (no Metroid characters but same gameplay otherwise) because I think in that case many people would be asking for a sequel.

All of them

I love Disaster: Day of Crisis despite the universal panning that game got. It's probably my favourite game from Monolith Soft, at least when it comes to pure goofiness fun, even if the controls get in the way from time to time.

Don't know if it counts as a Nintendo game, since it wasn't developed by them, but Devil's Third is enjoyable too.

I'm pretty sure you'll like it better than Paper Mario: Color Splash, this game also has funny and witty dialogue. Also the songs are quite catchy. It's also leghty, it took me around 70 hours to reach the and but I played for more than 100 to try to complete it, keep grinding and creating all the weapons to get the best skills for every character. It's an extremely well paced game.
