Big fan of DQ Heroes. It completely surprised me and may be my favorite game of that type (although it isn't a fairy comparison since it does more things than other games like it).

Also a big fan of DQ Builders. Aside from the "get your base to level 3" which was basically just farming for a while - I have enjoyed all of it.

Enemies tried to raid my base and I whooped them. Stone walls, and spike traps everywhere.

Congrats to builders. Dragon quest doing well on Playstation this gen it seems. Excellent decision bringing the series back there.

Sony's Japan president didn't lied when he told to Hori on TGS Stage 2014 ''welcome back home!'' Dragon Quest appeared on a Nintendo platform first like FF but it's heart and souls beats better on Playstation systems ;)

Yeah it's great having so much FF and Dragon quest on Playstation this gen.  The former was badly missed last gen for sure.

I feel personally this isn't something I can applaud for, as it feels like it borrows a lot from Minecraft to the point where it is essentially MC with Dragon Quest characters in it. Using the success to of another game to sell your own is not something I can applaud, and I expected better of Square Enix.

You would be very very wrong.

That is basically the same as "this game has guns - so this game is Halo" or "this game has jumping so it is mario".

just because it has harvesting and building doesn't make it minecraft.

Yes, I understand that there are games that borrow elements from others, but this looks to take the whole MC aspect to it, down to its blocky appearance. This isn't like platformers being similar, or FPSs using guns. The look and feel is very much that of MC.

Aside from minecraft mods that may exist that I haven't seen - DQ builders does many, many things better. Infact the only thing they have in common is building blocks.

The characters aren't blocks. The enemies aren't blocks. The food, the weapons, the spike traps, benches, furniture - basically everything but the basic building blocks - aren't blocks.

There are tutorials and lists of how to make things. It isn't guess work or googling. You find reciples and blueprints. How do I build a chair? Oh it is these pieces at a forge. Simple.

As your town grows people show up. They give you different quests. You level up, you get more hit points, and defense. The rooms do different things. The town people actually do things for you. On top of defending you from monsters, they build items and food.

There is a story mode, and bosses. This is all stuff I've experienced in only chapter 1.

Different people, similar opinions, about similar tastes, and dislike for similar company (you can easily guess which one). Honestly I can easily see the confusion.

I am curious on the game, I prefer picking up Heroes first.

Maybe this person lives in the UK and didn't see the game anywhere on TV and shit.

Where do you live? And did you see any commercial on your TV or ''shit''? I didn't see a single commercial. Heck i didn't even see any promotion online and i am broswing tons of videogame sites everyday.

The only joke here is that Builders had a marketing campaign.

I live in Australia and I sometimes see it on Cartoon Network, but mostly on Youtube.

Sooo are you from the UK?
