I hope people aren't actually offended by that joke..

Things like that are not a "joke". People who "joke" like that at my place of work find themself getting escorted off by the police with a disorderly conduct ticket. Being rude to other people is not funny. If you friends find something like that funny just keep stuff like that between you and your friends. If you do that to a person who you do not know personally, it just rude and uncalled for, in fact that is the very definition of bullying.

Sorry for going off like that but that is one of my pet peeves.

Thats insane. A joke is ajoke. If you get ofended by it thats fine, then we dont joke with you like that again. But saying I cant joke like that because you or others might ot like it is plain old censorship. Bulying would be if you told me  you dont like it and I continue doing to you out of spite. and for someone to get fire by a simple joke, mean that I would need to work in a place with oversencitiby babys that all went to hr and complained and had to lie about what I said. This anyware would be no more than a warning. unles you work at the vatican.

So from what I gather, you're American, and likely work in America, which means people have a right to free speech where you work. So no, I doubt that anyone would get tickets for making use of their freedom of expression, especially when the only outcome of such expression is someone getting offended.  Futhermore, It's not bullying, especially when 4 out of 5 Americans identify themselves as Christians, and one of the least trusted group of individuals in America are athiests. So no, one person from a minority position cannot possibly be bullying any one person just by making fun of their religion.

You do not have a right to not be offended. If you have a problem with being exposed to offensive materials I highly recommend you stay off the internet entirely.

This is a response of the quoted post and the above post by potato_hamster. This will be the last time I address this, sorry for being off topic.

Even in the US "free speech" has limits. And saying something is a joke when you are attacking a person on their race, creed, sexual orintation doesn't make it any less of an attack, or against the law in the US; also if free speech was the end all of everything, laws wouldn't be needed for slander or liable. For example sexual harrasment, the first thing that comes out of people mouths when charges are levied against them, 'it was only a joke. Can't they take a joke.' I have heard this so many times it makes me sick. My place has fired people because they thought they were being a buddy, and making the place happier by using sexual harrassment as a "joke". Unfortantly it's at the cost of a person when talk like this happens. IT ISN'T A JOKE, a joke I can handle, attacking a person's inheriant rights is a gross attack on another person which is protected by the bill or rights in the US and the UN Universal Declaration of human rights elsewhere, in member nations. And the rights of a person laid out in the bill of right super-ceedes the ammendments that were added later.

Yes you have free speech and can say what ever you want. But when that speech impeads another person's inherient rights, the person who is "joking" is in the wrong. That is why every time I call the cops for this, it always ends up with the "joking" person paying a fine even when they fight it. Because even in America you DONT have the right to attack another person's rights.

And now I will get off my soap box.

But again,

You do not have a right to not be offended. Period. Stop acting like you do. Your rights are not being infringed upon.

Sexual Harassment is a crime. Making a light hearted joke about someone's religion is not. Learn the difference.

Thing is that this is not just an offensive joke vs. somebody they don't know, it is not vs. just anybody who they know/believe to be religious,
it is in the context of Wagner Paiva starting multiple threads on this forum where he debates topic of religious belief with people,
if Wagner Paiva didn't feel comfortable discussing his beliefs like that, he wouldn't have done so...
SO establishing that Wagner himself already introduced that topic to discussion with other posters, they are entitled to joke about it too.
It is not legit to say that Wagner can broach the topic, but others are not even able to comment on that nor take a humorous angle on it.
It honestly is strange to discuss such things on this forum but since Wagner did so in the first place,
he cannot expect special treatment re: jokes about his favorite topic, when people joke about other people's favorite consoles all the time here.
IMHO The joke wasn't aimed at all religious people, although I can see how somebody ignorant of situation might assume that at first glance.
If Wagner himself feels uncomfortable with it, he himself can complain, and perhaps both jokes and discussions of religions should be removed.

He is also saying its up to him to decide when something is an atack or a joke. Wich is not how it works. The thing is that if he calls the cops for something as stupid as that, the one getting a ticket wwould be him. There is a law that penalizes people waisting 911's time. He would also be getting fired for ringing the cops into the work place for something so trivial and not go to HR.

But yea, we are derailing.

i learn too long ago to leave soundwave in his dreamland, because he has an agenda, nintendo except on wii and wiiu  always was the strongest system, so this can be truth or not, who knows.

lol, ok so the guy who is looking at 5-6 reputable media sources is on "dreamland", but believing some random Brazilian poster with no track record, who's likely some dumb kid, makes perfect, logical sense to some of you. lol.

This is basically just blind faith at this point, just like those people earlier in the year who swore up and down on this board that Nintendo was not abandoning the Wii U even when Nikkei reported that Nintendo was stopping production this year.

The people who believe that even after staring down sources like that are the ones on dreamland.

Nintendo hasn't made a system that's even close to reasonably specced in 16 years as well, just so we're clear. That's longer than some people on this board have been alive for, so it's not some "oh that was just a one time thing" either.

It's a home console.  Do you want to retract your codescending commenary now, in the final hours, before the system is revealed?

I have no idea who this brazilian insider is, but Playeressence and Supermetadave made videos on these new rumours, the link is down below:

Itsays the NX has twice the power of a PS4 and the GPU is almost identical than the PS4 Pro.

I really really doubt that ;)
