I have not own a Nintendo console since the 64.I do not post on Nintendo threats because I don't know or care about Nintendo. people complaining about political or religious threads are nothing more than Point farmers.adding nothing to the threads just to get a few points.

I don't get it what is the point of calling yourself a Christian when you are a not a true believer. 

Listen Spurgeonryan. As I said countless times, I follow that philosophy countless of times. However, it has reached the extent where people are causing countless of flame threads. Look at the 3 links I posted in the OP. All 3 of them are locked. Why is that? It's because the recent threads have shown the consequence of abusing freedom of speech. It does nothing but harm this website. It pushes away new users when these type of threads pop up on the hot page. It makes current users want to leave.

VGChartz is already imperfect. we don't need idiots running around to make it worse. 

Also, the NX thing was different. There were tons of NX threads to the point where so many of them either repeated a thread literally made within the last week. As of now NX speculation threads actually provide cool rumours worth discussing.

I think too many people have misunderstood me. Unfortunately people have assumed I want to ban anything non-gaming related, when in reality i just want to see it managed better. If the mods say they can't manage it better, then they should place less attention to it to avoid flame wars that extend into 100+ responses. 

Unfortunately VGChartz is rather stern on who is and who isn't moderator. There are a lot of users who could be moderator, but for some reason they aren't. Ganoncrotch, Spurgeonryan, Zero129, Azuren, etc. 

Keep in mind I posted this under website issues. You can always make a post for website issues and recommend more mods.

Megathreads never turn out well. They turn into a headache and 90% of the time die out.

With that logic though, VGChartz would be close to dead. We need non-gaming threads to make people feel like VGChartz is more than just people who are obsessed with technology/games/sales. There are actually very good religious/political threads made. It's just that in the past week the amount of trolling religious threads have exploded. As long as the trolls and flamers aren't lurking around causing issues, I'm fine with it.

So, we've had about 180 votes and ~120 responses to the thread. I'd just like to say thank you to everyone for providing insight on the topic. It's nice to see the issue be address. Even if I don't get the solution I wanted, I appreciate the fact that the mods looked into it.

How am I not discussing the topic and when did I insult you?

I brought up the issue of religious threads recently being infected by trolls. Instead for you talking about that, you went ahead and just said it's ironic since I contribute to the issue and am a horrible user.

The only reason I made this thread was because I want to make vgchartz better. It started with me, and I have stopped being a troll.

VideoGames help Game Developers put food on the table. Also if there was no such thing as Videogames people would be bored to death and I'm serious about that.

why should it really effect you, if you don't like the threads don't click on them. the same applies to even video game disccusions that rile you up. if you're a Sony or Nintendo fanboy and someone opens a thread saying "Sony/Nintendo are going to fail for THIS reason!" then don't click on it if you tend to get stressed out or bothered by that sort of debate

same applies to politics and religion. 

its just too easy NOT to get involved and click for you to be this dramatic about it. its like the people who always end up in the gossip and drama who just keeping saying "omg ya'll are crazy for starting shit all the time". You're putting yourself IN the drama by clicking on the stuff and then bitching about the stuff
