We know that PS4 leads in most of the world, but how many threads can we make about that? Wouldn't that be boring? That's why NPD is actively discussed, cause it's the most interesting due to the tight race (not to mention the only reliable monthly release of hardware/software info). And while America is not all that counts, let's not forget that America really is the biggest single market (I'd bet a large percentage of us VGchartz users are American too). But, yeah, very very few of us actually seriously claim that USA is all that counts. 

And for what it's worth, Xbox is actually beating PS4 in Mexico and most of South America. Canada also seems to be pretty close.

I wouldn't discount Xbox just yet. There is Black Friday coming, and Microsoft has won 2 of the last 3 Black Fridays. i think Microsoft will be in a better position than Sony. They'll have the cheaper products, and more leeway in dropping price. i doubt Sony will drop the price of the then week-old Ps4 Pro, but I can see MS dropping the price of their XB1S. And the fact that it's a cheap blu ray player should also help a lot if well advertised.

Also, in America and Canada a lot of people use the Microsoft Store to buy their Xbox related products (like me), so just Amazon is not the whole picture.

The Slim was a stupid idea with the pro and psvr on the way. I've never met anybody that wants to buy an inferior system at a lower price point, except platform warriors. The only shot XB1 has of winning another NPD is the month of the Scorpio release.

3rd holiday season in a row with crickets to play on Playstation. No big PS brand AAA's , its become normal expectation now.

As a multi console owner, i find myself more content with Xbox during this exciting time of the year.

Multiplats SP go to PC for best graphics, and Multiplat MP go to XBO for the Elite controller and better online.

I have to agree they have the holidays on lock! Though we are supposed to get TLG for the Holiday for PS4 this year that is a big AAA in my book even if it took YEARS to release lol. But also as a multi console owner I always question the rest of the year before the holiday season with Xbox and it always bothers me. So it balances out for me personally with the PS4 and XB1(even though I just got mine with the Gears 4 bundle lol).  Also after playing games online on PS4 and on XB1 I still can't see why people say the XB1 has better online....I see no difference from when I am on my PS4.

So Last Guardian isn't a thing, apparently. It's only one of the most anticipated games of recent memory, along with Final Fantasy XV (which isn't on PC, runs better on PS4, and runs even better on PS4Pro). Couple that with PSVR and PS4Pro itself, and PlayStation 4 has more than enough reason to outsell a console with 5 exclusives total.
