Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Oceanhorn, A Game Inspired by The Wind Waker, Confirmed for 'A Nintendo Console'

No offense but it looks much more than just inspired...

12/22/2016- Made a bet with Ganoncrotch that the first 6 months of 2017 will be worse than 2016. A poll will be made to determine the winner. Loser has to take a picture of them imitating their profile picture.

While its not a bad game, i've got to agree that this and other efforts to make bigger or more complex mobile games seem to be "more than inspired" by some console games, that's why Nintendo is trying to approach mobile market eveb if they seemed to be somewhat reluctant to do it in the beggining, they are losing a lot of cash from their games being emulated in smartphones and tablets, or having clones of Mario, Zelda and Pokemon pullulate in the application stores, Gameloft for example while having one or two original ideas here and there, has call of duty clones, some halo etc.

Just look at oceanhorn 2, it even has the same color pallete, lightning, trees, fungus and similar protagonist to some last year wii game we all now

Judging by that picture, I simply can't see any resemblance... What so ever.

I have to admit, I like the look of "Elena." Having a hijab-wearing Elena would have been excellent :)

I just recently finished playing it a few weeks ago. It's actually pretty good, even if it doesn't do a single thing original. The stamina bar is also really annoying.

Ok I really enjoyed Oceanhorn for the first hour of playing, however its such a rip off from the Zelda series and art work. You might as well be playing Zelda. For example, instead of collecting Heart Containers you find Heart Pieces etc. The game practically renames everything from Zelda and uses different words to create its own game.

Here's a good review of the game if your planning on buying it.

The game is not bad and ill recommend it for those who haven't played Zelda before, however if you have played Zelda before than you will most likely be just like me and get bored of it in the first couple of hours and instead of trying to finish it, you will jump on Wind Waker.

Lol. It seems they will release it on PS4, or so wikipedia say. It is out on Ps3 (Europe), Ouja, Android and Windows... =D

My grammar errors are justified by the fact that I am a brazilian living in Brazil. I am also very stupid.

Looks fun, I might give it a try!

Folks just remember, this was (is) a $9 iOS app, if you approach it like that it's pretty descent game.
