Man raped his daughter, stepdaughter, dog and chickens

A paedophile has been jailed after he confessed to his wife that he had raped his daughter, his stepdaughter, the family dog and chickens.

The man in his 20s, who cannot be identified to protect his victims, has now been jailed for six years and seven months after admitting what he had done.

A court in Adelaide heard that he had raped his own daughter when she was just three years old. His stepdaughter was aged between nine and 11 when he struck while she was asleep.

He also admitted penetrating chickens and their dog, according to ABC.

His ex wife said in a victim impact statement: ‘We didn’t do anything wrong; my beautiful innocent children certainly never ever deserved to have such terrible violation occur on their bodies and hearts.’

The court was told that he had previously had sexual contact with dogs when he was a child. He was also abused, but was seeking treatment.

Describing his actions as ‘gross and disturbing’, Judge Paul Muscat said: ‘You appear determined and motivated to engage in treatment and address your abhorrent and abnormal sexual behaviours, which is imperative in order to reduce your risk of further sexual offending.

He added: ‘If the sentence imposed on you seems to some to be moderate then that is the product of your voluntary confessions and the healthy sentencing discounts which apply.

‘Offenders should be encouraged to come clean and accept full responsibility for their criminal actions and then take steps to address the issues which led to their offending, as you have done.’

Only 6 years? WTF? After what he did to his own family? People who you shouldn`t even think about hurting let alone doing something so vile to? Disgusting!

Dont worry.... 6 years as a pedophile in jail, is like 30 year for a violent crime. He is lucky if he will make it untill then

Vote the Mayor for Mayor!

And the guys who brought Battlefield servers down got 10 years. Classy.

Official member of VGC's Nintendo family, approved by the one and only RolStoppable. I feel honored.

I actually think 6 years is a lot considering how little jail time people get for even more horrible crimes that they didn't confess.

Well, the justice system is fucked anyway.

I'm not sure how to respond to this so I'm just going to leave.

At first I thought this sentence was disastrously short, but the judge's reasoning does make sense. The guy confessed, was open/honest about his crimes in court and was intent on rehabilitation--that's the perfect formula for lenient sentencing. Had he been apprehended after a long search, pleaded Not Guilty, behaved badly in court, showed no remorse and gave no indication of ever changing---then he probably would have been locked up as long as the crime warrants.

Throwing the book at him could have resulted in a 'cruel and unusual punishment' case in an Appeal (possibly resulting in being freed even earlier than the lightest of sentences) and would have set a precedent that actively discourages anybody else for ever coming forward. With that in mind, I think the judge made the right call.

Yeah this doesn't belong in General discussion.

I had interpreted this as mainstream news so I thought it was fine to post it here.  Sorry if this makes you feel uncomfortable.

Or as Rapist Brock Turner's dad would say "6 years for a few minutes of action? Come on!"

It's probably to encourage more people to admit to their crimes. Elesewise more of these horrible acts may remain undiscovered.

Tbh I think more importantly is how much time he spends in therapy, because obviously there's something very very very wrong with this person.

I`d argue that it`s not even possible for him to spend enough time in therapy for it ever to be ok for him to be near other innocent people again...

So kill him then?

Ordinarily, yes! But since he actually confessed to it maybe just not let him near other people unsupervised ever again.

And how would you do that?
