Anyone else feel the same?

I've been a member here for almost 5 years now, but in the last one or two years I've started to loose interest in this site - and that's a shame, since I feel like there are a lot of really nice people here, and it used to be a truly great site. I dunno, maybe it's still a great site, but I've become a lurker. I used to be quite a frequent poster around here, and now I barely post once a week, and I can't even remember the last time I made a thread.

I think there's a few reasons for this:

1) The lack of updates to the sales numbers. This might be the biggest reason as to why I'm losing interest in this site; the updates come sporadically and in chunks. How are we supposed to compile and discuss the latest sales numbers when the numbers quite often lags 2 months behind and the updates are huge chunks of several weeks worth of data at once.

2) All these "General Discussion"-threads about religion, the US election and such. I don't care to discuss any of these two mentioned topics HERE, on this site; Fuck any and all Gods, and double fuck Trump. Stating things like this almost ALWAYS get you into long discussions with offended people, and I don't wanna talk about these things here. This is a v-i-d-e-o g-a-m-e site, so it irks me when I see the "Forum Hot Topics" filled with threads about religion and Trump.

3) Fuck Nintendo for not releasing any info about the NX. All we get is rumors, leaks, speculation. While all of this can be really interesting and fun, that's not the case after 18 months. Enough is enough already. Give us SOMETHING. Give us GAMES for the NX, give us the HW look, maybe some specs - but that's not necessary. Give us something solid.

I dunno, there might be other issues for me for not partaking in the discussions here any more. Maybe I'm just too old. Maybe life has gotten in the way.

Someone pointed out to me recently that I rarely post outside of Media Create/Official Vita thread these days, which is true. I just go to other forums these days really, things seem a lot calmer and quieter here than they used to be.

Thanks man ^^ Although, I haven't been posting all that much lately. I get sporadic urges and posts 5 posts on one day, and then disappears for like 5 weeks, just... lurking. With disinterest.

Where do you hang out nowadays? I always thought this was a more civil place than most forums, where all the fanboys were "kinda level" headed and, well, civil. I liked that.

I don't always post here, but when I do, I aim to please ;)

Reddit and GAF.  GAF is worse than here in terms of fanboys and whatnot, but at least it's always lively and there's things going on (plus, it's much much easier to browse from mobile, same for reddit).

Yeah, that's so true. I completely agree with this thread. It's not the same anymore. :/

I still like here. The lack of actual NX news hurts, and the fact the sales have become so predictable moots some of the discussion, but what are you gonna do. And in regards of the NX threads, I still think they are not as bad as The Order threads. Do you people remember how many threads there were about that game before its release? It was everywhere!

Yeah, I think GAF is too busy for me; to many new threads for me to keep an eye on. I liked the pace here a few years ago. It was great =) And I never got me head around Reddit.... Still don't completely understand it or know what it is :P

I have up's and down's in here, right now is down period where I feel that it's a bit boring. I think the lack of numbers is one thing, you can see discussions spike every time they finally release. But with each passing 2-3 month drought without numbers, less and less users seem interested even when the updates do arrive.
I'm unsure of the future of this site, if they're gonna forego the numbers bit, there's not much left, the site was built around this and sites where you simply discuss gaming and other things are a dime a dozen.
