Extremely boring.

I have a close friend that only plays Black Ops 3 zombies, (sometimes MP) but that's it.

For those players, the games they play are like a sport. I love hockey, I play it all the time, and every game is a new experience. It's noteworthy that all the games you mention have a heavy multiplayer and usually competitive element. That makes each game a new experience, with the game being more of an arena for the actual game experience to take place.

Personally, I'm addicted to Age of Empires II. I've played a couple thousand hours on the HD version of that ancient game. I try to force myself to play new game experiences on my Wii U and XBox, but I find a round of AOE to be very relaxing after a day of work.

Smart..... They haven't got to spend £40 a week on new games to keep them self pleased.

Someone hasn't heard of Rocket League crates. You need to pay a lot to stay on top of the style meta.

I'm jealous of them. I wish I could dedicate myself to being great in just a few games instead of being mediocre in every game.

This so much. Id love to be great at Rocket League and CoD BF etc. But the is just so many other games tha take my time . Sometimes i think having too many games is a curse in its self.

Age of Empires 2 HD is a game i recently got too. I really need to try get into it. But this is what my problem is. The is sooooooooooo many games that i just want to play one of and get really good at such as rocket league, AOE, TF2, Dota, CSGO, CoD etc but its just soooo hard to keep playing one of them since i always wonder of to other games .

On further thought, monogamer might be my label for them. Not a bad thing, but it seems like something worth clarifying.

I call them smart. If you can hook into one or two games and never look at anything else then you save yourself a helluva lot of money.

If I was actually any good at Rocket League and Smite and playing competitive online didn't almost give me anxiety attacks I'd probably play them exclusively. But alas single player is my comfort zone, and you can't play one or two single player games indefinitely as your entire gaming hobby.

I guess this is a good point too. Thing is most of my friends im on about maybe could play the games pro. My cuz josh is always always on CoD games or CSGo and his like unreal at the thing. But me i dont know whats wrong with me but i think i have too many games cos i have a hard time thinking of what to play so i guess in a way i do think they are lucky. I think i might try getting into rocket league.

And if they are actually good at those two games specifically, they can stream on Twitch, get subscribers and make money. So not only would they not be spending tons of money buying games, they would be profiting from those couple of games they have bought. You've got people making $1000s each month from Twitch streaming. Of course, you need to have an interesting personality to get a decent swag of subscribers. But if you have that, then you can start making pretty decent money.

I find watching the Rocket League pro league among the most entertaining pro games to watch. RL meets that age old definition of what makes a great video game: Easy to learn, hard to master. the skill these pro players have is simply beyond my reach and so I really enjoy seeing what these players are able to do. including the coordinated teamwork.

If you haven't seen this you should get a bit of a laugh. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eSpnqB-z-xs

Gamers.

Honestly, it doesn't bother me that some people are less passionate about my hobby than I am. If they can be happy playing only Mario Kart, Call of Duty, or Gran Turismo, then by all means...I hope they have fun.

I call them gamers who are satisfied / addicted to the game they play. If it's a game without micro-transactions or a game they don't use the micro-transactions I'm jealous because they get their fill of gaming through 1 game a year.

Back in the days of cod4 I spent very little on gaming but was as happy as ever.
