That's pretty much most 3rd party games for PS4. Most of them outsell the Xbox One version.

As far as I understand. the difference in install base in UK is pretty close so it makes it harder to process the difference in sales cnsidering the marketshare.

Two exclusives on Xbox one(Forza 3 and Gears 4) can easily explain why there would be less sales of the Xbox one version.  But, nevertheless not sure why they would even make that statement was anyone expecting the Xbox one version to outsell PS4 in any of the regions(Doubt it!).

Yeah that doesn't help that MS released most of its games at the holidays.  By the way I don't expect the xb1 versions to beat ps4 version but I do expect similar sales in US and UK depending of the genre.

Am i the only one who prefer Mafia over Mafia 2?

If you mean Mafia: The City of Lost Heaven over Mafia 2, then you are not alone.

You kind of make the point as to why it would be lower on the XB1 vs the PS4.  With 2 major XB1 exclusives wrapped around the Mafia3 release, the gaming dollars are being spent elswhere on the XB1.  So, the sales of Mafia 3 on XB1 are going to likely be lower today.  A few weeks or months down the line, the weekly sales numbers in those regions will probably be the same or similar on XB1 asnd PS4.   We will have to wait and see...

It is near the end of the end....

"PS4 version outsells the XBone one" Has a multiplat sold better on XBOne than PS4 in equal conditions (no timed exclusivity, no broken version on one side...)?

Just Dance 2014 and 2015 sold better on Xb1 than PS4, according to VGChartz anyway.

I don't think Sony ever intended to not have any major first party release during holidays. All of the first party game have missed their Holidays release windows.

In 2014 - The order: 1886; 2015- Uncharted 4 & 2016: The Last Guardian(moved to December 2016) & Horizon Zero Dawn all of these game were intended to be big holiday titles that were pushed back to insure quality.

It's great for third partry and did not hurt sales of PS4, but probably resulted in less sales for Sony Interactive Ent. especially in North America were Holidays spending is so great.

I can agree with the bolded part.  I just feel Sony doesn't have the pressure to push their games during the holidays due to good ps4 sales.  I think they are happy with the install base they have that they don't mind losing a little bit a marketshare to MS.  Sony already have a solid install base to sell the games to.  Most of the profit comes from software anyway.

How many copies do you think Uncharted 4 would of sold if it release Winter 2015 instead of May 2016. That's money that would of went to Sony studios. It probably would help boost holidays sales of PS4 hardware even higher if there was a major First party release in 2014, 2015 & eventual 2016 holiday sales.

Well to be honest, I don't think it would have sold that much more.  Uncharted 4 is basically selling similar to the previous uncharted games plus I guess another reason to sell it on May instead of holidays is to bundle the hell out of it on the following christmas as Sony is doing now since I guess it is cheaper.  There are franchise that it doesn't matter what you do, it won't grow beyond the franchise average.  Let be honest here, ps4 has sold/ it is selling more than what Sony thought or expected compare to its competitors so I don't think they are concern for that "extra ps4 sales" that they didn't manage to sell.  there is a reason they have kept pushing their games after holidays for 3 straight years.
